need help, 1990 3.0L to a 22re

Hey guys, I need a little help, my Toyota experience is very limited. I have a 1990 Pickup with a dead 3.0L and a 1993 parts truck with a 22RE, Will the 22RE bolt up to the Trans? I assume the ECU, the wire harness and motor mnts will have to be swapped I just don't know about the engine-trans bolt up, they are both manuals.

Thanks for any help

no, it wont. what's wrong with the 93? may be easier to go the other way, and swap some parts from the 90 in to it.

The trans is different from a 4cly to a 6cyl or from a 1990 to a 1993?

The 1993 truck is all rusted out, the frame and the body are done so I need to fix the 1990.

The trans is different between the engines
It can swapped but you will need to to move all the efi components and the wiring harness. It is a whole lot of work to end up with a 22re. Personally if I was going to go threw all that work I would look into swapping a newer 3rz(2.7) or a 5vz(3.4). These engines produce better power and get better mileage than the 3.0
