1rz-e to 3vze swap

Hi!

I have a Toyota Revo which is equipped with a 1rz-e 2liter and auto 4 spd gearbox. I was thinking of swapping a 3vze in it. Would the existing gearbox fit and work with 3vze, If not, can you guys recommend a rwd auto box that will mate and work with the 3vze? I'm desperate for more power and possibly the same or better fuel economy than the 1rz-e as its just running 5 km/liter city driving. Hear from you soon! Cheers!

according to google...
5 (kilometers / liter) = 11.7607292 miles per gallon

11-12 mpg is about normal for the 3.0 as well... there will be a flood of guys that will say oh i get in the 20s on my 3.0... but they are FEW and far between.... the 3.0 is not a very solid motor. if your looking for motor swaps for more KM/L i would look at the 3.4

maybe the 3rz 2.7 4cyl. or 3.4 5vz. but if you really feel like a project, throw in toyota's 4.0l.

That 11.7 miles per gallon is from the 2 liter 4 banger. Thats why I would say is under powered and is in serious need of a bigger engine. The 5vz would be great. What rwd non 4wd tranny would you recommend guys? Hear from you soon! Cheers!

you might want check and see if maybe a mr2 engine or the 3sgte engine might bolt to you gear box. good luck you going to be looking at alot of wiring and fabing to do any of these swaps. have you checked to see if maybe there is just something wrong with your car first?

All I can say is I've checked the plugs and the burn is even a bit lean to perfect. So I don't really know where the gas is going. No leaks. And the car is just 43,000 kms old. I was suggested to replace the diff with a higher gearing but I'm not convinced as the engine is not delivering enough power to pull itself up a 30 degree hill on 1st gear. (auto box). That's why I think I need a stronger more economical engine. Thanks for your comments.
