I have a 82 long bed pickup that doesn't currently run. I'm debating if I should replace the engine with a OEM engine (or just try to get it running) or if I should put a 2JZ engine in it or something better. I want it to look like a sleeper or completely stock, until I put up to a light and just take off. lol. Any suggestions / ideas? Thanks.

Quite a few members have swapped a diesel in that’s a pretty neat set up, the 3.4 swap will yield the most info but if you want to go full sleeper the 2J is the ticket but they are becoming harder to source.

Whatever you decide try to do a build thread
