SteveO's Lowered 3rd Gen
Well, as many of you know, when my newly SASed rig rolled out of the garage, it was indeed a monster truck. It was HUGE. Over the past couple of years I have been tweeking the suspension and trimming fenders to bring it down to a moderate height. So far, I'm very pleased with the results.
I have trimmed the front fenders to fit the 37" meats, under this new height.
I have picked up some 12" FOX coil overs, and adjusted them to lower the vehicle. Currently, I'm running 150PSI, and the ride is simply "car like". Its really a great ride on the road. Since its my daily driver, or rather my daily commuter, I tweaked the ride for optimum comfort.
I lowered the rear springs by pulling the 1" blocks from the rear spring pack. Of course, the shackles have always had a little more lean, which has given a great ride.
And now, with 35" BFG commuter tires, the ride is even better. I still have my 37" MTR tires for the trail, but the commuter tires are whats on 80% of the time.
Overall, I think the suspension has come down around 9 or so inches.
In the 1st pic, I have my 37" MTR tires, and the 2nd pic, 35" BFG. So, we are talking about a 1" difference. Not a biggie compared to what you see on the measuring stick. The measuring stick is a 4' level. You can see the numbers on the side, and the difference between the 1st and 2nd shots.
let me know what you all think.

Difference

tc, my up compression is about 3.5". The rest of it is all down. For the size, it flexes very well.
Doubledown, yeah, the Mall terrains are my DD tires. Commuting 90 miles a day would wear out my MTRs in no time.
BTW, I just figured when aired down I'm under 7 feet tall.
With the 35" tires, I'm about 6' 11"
With the 37" tires, aired up, I'm about 7', maybe 1"

I mean, I have done a mean lean on Rocker Knocker with it up higher, but being a little lower, and having the clearance that 37" tires give, I'm happy.
