steering/alignment question

i replaced the front springs and power steering box this weekend on my sas yota. i didnt get the teeth on the pitman arm lined up exactly and now the truck doesnt turn very far at all the the left because the powersteering box is being maxed out to the left. i need to dis-connect the pitman arm and move just a few teeth i know. my question is as long as i dont dis-connect the drag link or tie rods from the steering arms it shouldnt affect the toe at all is this correct? Thanks

was you steering wheel straight befor you started? If so You need to park you truck with the tires as straight as you can get them, then disconnect the pitman arm and put your steering wheel back as straight as you can get it and slide it back on...Im sure there is a better way to do this but this is how i did it.....as long as you didnt undo the idler arm and tie rods i think you should be ok but not 100%!!!

hey how do you like the 5" trail gear kit? im running 37s right now o ifs but im SAS real soon and gonna use that kit??

i just replaced the springs and shackles (all trail-Gear) they absolutly suck. i have the 3.0 and did the S.A.S 2 1/2 years ago and the springs were way to soft i would bottom out on my bumpstops agianst my frame after about the 2nd month. a 4cy could be different i dont know. the bolts they gave my with the shackles (in the sas kit) the threads would stretch and i would have to re-tighten the bolts about every 200 miles and they would be very loose. its not the nut backing off but the threds stretching and shackles loosening. i went with sky manufacturing springs 5 inch and boomerang shackles just finished putting together 2 days ago havent driven much.

Should be an alignment/centering mark on the steering box sector shaft and typically one on the pitman arm:

Toe should not change with re-centering the box, but not that hard to check/change.
