SAS w/ 33's
In the next week or so i will be starting my SAS. I have gotten the kit from wabfab with 4" springs so it will be a 5" lift. I have a set of 33's (pretty new) that i run now that i would like to still run until i get the money for gears and longs first. Will these tires look bad/not preform well with that much lift? anyone have any pictures? Are there anyways to reduce the lift by using stock shackles or would this mess up angles? maybe removing leafs? If I could get it nice and low and keep the 33's i would do that too. So any suggestions or pictures are welcomed!
Backround: 1988 p/u, 3.0 v6, 5spd extended cab will be what the kit goes on. Already took the axle off my 83 and rebuilt it (frame broke in half) Also have an 87 p/u with a pretty new 22r which was my DD and was going to get the kit put on it until we dropped the gas tank and found more rust problems! So that is what i have available to me, what do you guys think?

Looks are your own personal preference. No one but you can tell you if it will look bad.
Performance? They will perform just fine. You will gain more ground clearance with bigger tires, but aside from that, nothing else will change. You should be able to keep your stockfields together better with the smaller tires.

I ran an old set of 34's when I first did mine (measured 33"). They worked well and IMO looked fine on the truck (rears up front/chevys plus 1" body lift) I was probably about 5" in front and 4" in rear.

I eventually wanted more clearance so I swapped in different springs, a new crossmember, and 36's.

4runner92sr5 i have the same set up as you in the front, i love the look i thought the 33's were going to look small because i read so many guys with the same lift using 35+ tires but yours looks sweet! i cant wait to get started!
