SAS spring selction???

Hey guys, I am in the process of putting a solid axle from a chevy 1/2 ton in my 88 pickup. The only springs me and my buddy have on hand are from the front of a 1 ton chevy. They are the same length as the toyota rears, have 3 leaves and lie completely flat with no load. Do you think its worth giving a shot? Maybe remove one leaf? Just wanted a few opinions. I don't have the money to buy a set of toyota rears right now. Thanks guys

63 rears and the front i would do chevy springs or hd tg springs for the front. but 57's are even to long for the front

Hmm well idk what kinda chevy these springs are off of but they are the same length as the toyota rears... And the toyota rears up front are a good swap. But will going with a flat spring limit my flex?

Im pretty sure that if your springs are flat, you wont be able to get that ,much lift out of them. Especially if they are the same length as the toyota springs. get 63 inch springs

Oh sorry I'm saying they are the same length as the toyota rears, referring to the rear up front swaps people do. As in... I know they will "fit" up front, but will they flex ok?
