Rear diff in SFA?

Hey everybody, I've recently found an 84 front axle on Craigslist for a good $125 and I plan on picking it up this weekend. I definitely want to SAS in the near future but the axle does not have a third member, I know the 7.5" diff won't work from my IFS so I'm wondering if I could pull a rear diff from a junker 84 that a buddy has on his property (he already pulled the front axle and diff) and put it in the front axle since they're both 8"? if this won't work I will save some cash and buy some built diffs with 5.29s in the future, but I'd prefer to have the diffs then just buy new gears. Thanks everybody!

Yes you could. The rear 8" will work in the front SAS 8". I recommend Nitro brand gears.
Ok to post pics if you want.

It's a lot of work but a fun build. Do lots of research even if you get an off the shelf kit. Especially steering geometry and pinion/driveline angles,

Yep! Just ordered some new wire brushes and wheels that are coming later this week. But after pulling some pieces off the housing I found some wear on the inside edge, can I still use this housing or does that wear look too bad to use?

Thanks drop zone! Sorry for the double post, I felt that if I'm gonna be posting a bunch about the axle I should start its own thread
