quick sas question

i am in the process of doing a sas on my 95 2wd pickup with the 22re and im not using a kit just parts we put together which ended up being from my uncles long ago sold 83 pickup from when he was 16 im getting along pretty good.

i have the rear end all put in and ready for new brakes and tires
it will look 4wd for a while cause i dont have time to put the tranny and tcase in right now

anyway my question is where do i need to weld my front spring hanger to achive the same wheel base as it is now because ive seen a few people and some of them have the front axle slid forward and im not a real big fan of that and just making sure the jig from lce goes in the cab mount right? any info will be appreciated

The front axle is moved forward because when the springs compress the tire/wheel move towards the rear. Unless your keeping it at stock height, it won't be a problem to keep it center, but any lift you'll have to moved it forward some. As for where to place the springs...you'll have to measure, tack everything before welding, put weight on it and make adjustments as needed.
