Which model? How to ID my axles
I have a pair of Toyota pickup axles but am not sure which model they came from. I am looking for a hand brake/parking brake cable but without knowing the correct model I will not have much luck. I'm posting the pictures I have here so maybe one of you can identify them for me.
Thanks

hard to tell with how your pile of axles is on the front axle.
assuming they are mini truck axles-
front-
79-80 no gusset
81-83 short gusset (to u-bolts)
84-85 long gusset (past u-bolts)
rear axle pull the wheels off and measure drum to drum - WMS (wheel mounting surface) to WMS
Toyota Rear Axle Widths:
55" wide, '79-85 4wd trucks/4runners - 6 Lug
58" wide, '86-95 4wd trucks/4runners - 6 Lug
56" wide, '79-95 2wd Trucks - 5 Lug
60.75" wide, '95.5-up Tacomas/4runners
66.75" wide, '93-98 T100 trucks
based on your tires it looks like you aren't in the US-
Australia, NZ or the Mediterranean?

I'm mainly interested in knowing the model of the rear axle to be able to get a hand brake cable for it. I'll take some more pictures and put them up ASAP.
Thanks

I am looking for something like that uses or has this attachment to it:

Any idea?

This isn't necessarily helpful, but I don't think you have matched axles. The front axle is passenger drop and spring over configured, with a torque rod location I haven't seen before, and your rear axle looks like it's set for spring under configuration, and pretty long from WMS to WMS, but not offset like a 60 series Land Cruiser...
I think you have some axles that were maybe not available in the states, hence why nobody here has ID'd them yet.

I just came back from the fab shop. They were taking some measurements when the topic of the axle length came up, where the front is shorter than the rear one. The rear one 60" and the front one is 2 or 3 inches shorter - you are 100% right I believe. Good thing I only want a hand brake cable
Any idea from the pics?

the torque rod mount pictured was added by someone, since the rear was a 4 link someone has obviously done some non standard mods on this thing.
most toyota truck rear axles are going to look the same from the outside as far as looks, one difference is going to be the diameter of the drum brakes.
measure the distance to the outside of the two brake drums (the WMS-Wheel mounting surface) i mentioned in the previous post..
possible you might even have a Nissan axle.
edit: 60.75" wide, '95.5-up Tacomas/4runners

That comment about possibly having a Nissan axle threw me back into my seat

I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

I'll see if I can find a pic of my Runner drums...it looks like the cable routing at the drum may be very similar to the Runner, which is different than the pickups.
Good point on the torque Rod Dropzone, just looked pretty dang short for a link and it still has leaf spring pads.
Edit: Here you go, this time I'm helpful...this is from my '90 4Runner

Not sure with the width you measured, but the load sensing proportioning rod is on the opposite side of the pumpkin as my Runner, but that could be something with different markets(US vs Malta). So I'd think you need the cable for a '90 4Runner(Maybe Hilux Surf there?). Or a Nissan...
