Talking land cruiser axle on 4runner

ok, ive been looking in to a SAS for a while now, and ive thought of buying a kit for leafs, or custom making one.

Now im thinking it would be pretty cool to do an SAS with an FJ80 axle, so i get the great flex of coils. This way after i do the swap i would just buy a land cruiser lift for the front end and buy the appropriate size springs for lift on my stock 4runner axle in the rear.

has anyone seen a buildup like this, or have any thoughts or tips about the idea?

It is a bit more complicated than buying a Landcruiser lift. It has been done, there are threads on ttora.com and Here: http://pirate4x4.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=12
What are you going to do to match the rear axle? Spacers would probably work...

Stock Toyota front axle measurements for comparison:
55.5" wide, 29" spring perch centers, '79-85 Toyota trucks and 4runners, SA Hubs
58.25" wide, 29" spring perch centers, '79-85 Toyota trucks and 4runners, IFS Hubs
63.5" wide, (set up for coil springs) 90-97 FJ80 and FZJ80 Landcruisers
'86-95 IFS front end is about 58.5" wide
'93-98 T100 IFS front end is about 65" wide

Toyota Rear Axle Widths:
55" wide, '79-85 4wd trucks/4runners - 6 Lug
58" wide, '86-95 4wd trucks/4runners - 6 Lug
56" wide, '79-95 2wd Trucks - 5 Lug
60.75" wide, '95.5-up Tacomas/4runners

yeah, i was thinking spacers

im runnung a 91 4runner, and i plan to do a sas for my senior project.
my friend wheels a XJ with a 8 1/2 long arm lift and its coil sprng up front, so would a toyota be the same concept? like extending the control arms and making different mounts and such, or is it a differnt set up?

you cant use the rear if you like your gas tank where it is. The rear diff is offset to the passenger side.

I am currently doing a 2wd to 4wd/sas on a 99 3.4 auto 4runner using a 95 LC axle with leafs. Leafs were the wrong way to go, it will have a 3link in the future. I am also using the front coils off the front of a 91 or 92 LC on the rear to get about 4" of lift.
