front spring problem (95 runner)
when i sid my sas i put what i thought were rancho 44044 springs in the front.they were in a old full size cherokee.the eye was 46 inches ,just about an inch more than what i wanted.the truck came up way high in the front.actually way too high.after about a week these settled down a little (not much in height)but the shackle went from about 45 deg to almost pinned backwards.i found an old used set of rancho 4 in chevy front springs for a 1/2 ton truck which i put in last weekend.everything was sitting perfect height wise.after about a week these have also flattened out a bit and now my shackle is at about 60 deg.the eye to eye relaxed on these is 45 in exactly.i assume this is all because of the weight of the 3.0 w the auto trans.
at this point im thinking about pulling one of the springs from the higher lift 1st pack i had in to help support the 4 in chevys i have in now.your thoughts?
thanks
