axel and body lift suggestions

I have a 1st gen runner and im about to do a SAS and go full width. I dont do any SERIOUS riding, mostly putting around the woods with friends on the same ole trails and drinking, umm, koolaid. so i figure a 10 bolt front end and 12 bolt rear on a set of nine leafs should do me fine.

Agree? or Disagree?

Also i know and i know you guys know that space is limited when working on these older yotas so i was thinking about a 2 inch body lift.

Agree? or Disagree?

oh yeah and im currently running 33x12.50s but going up to 35's.

Comments? Opinions?

If you don't do any really hardcore wheelin, then why do you need a SFA?

A SAS is pointless if you are just putting around dirt roads drinking beer and your choice of axles leads me to suggest just stay IFS.

we do hit some pretty tough trails, not dirt roads, i just dont get in to doin stuff where you look at it and say" this is going to break somethin but lets go" i enjoy climbing and crawling but i want a little more lift and it cost so much to lift a IFS. for a fraction of the price i can convert it to SFA.

That would be impressive.

have you checked the price of everything that is needed? You can find a sued lift MUCH cheaper than what a sas is going to cost you. I went with a d44 on mine. I have $300 just in steering (drag link , knuckle maching, and tie rod) It is common to see lifts sell for less than that on here used.

What IFS lifts are you looking at that cost more than 2k?

I can think of one person on here who's done a swap for around a grand.

However, if you're set on it, good luck...I'd look at different axles.

2" BL would be fine...You should be sky high anyway, so I doubt you'll need it.

most soild axle swaps are in the neighborhood of 1500 bucks, a IFS lift KIT is around 500-700 bucks

doesnt sound like you've had enough experience with your IFS to make the decision to SAS, IFS will take you pretty far with driver experience, wheel the stocker until you find your weak links and work from there
