So, does this bracket.....

... mount the slider to the body? Have you change your body mounts to solid? It's my understanding that the factory mounts give a little to prevent vibration and such. I've seen bodies move a fair amount up and down because of this rubber during impacts. I was curious as to whether tying your sliders into the body might cause some issues...

Otherwise, great work. A shame to loose all that detail from underneath... all though you'll probably have it kicked over enough on the trail for your spotters to admire.

40" tires cost $250-$300 a peice. to use them for other than off road purposes like driving on the road is a big waist of money to me. Thats why the pizza cutters are on. It also makes it a bit easer to work on when it's a bit closer to the ground, it also helps it to fit in the garage a bit better!

No the body mounts are not solid, I just replaced them with all new poly units.
I tied them into the body so all of the force was not going to the welded atatch points on the frame. Most folks plate the frame where the sliders are welded on the frame to thicken the area. I dident have enought material to plate the area's thats why I did it.
I did the same thing when I still had my Blazer. tying the frame to the body helped emensily from body and frame flex.

You'd tie a roll cage into the frame to make it stronger than it would be if it where only atatched to the body!
