88_Red_Runner's Tired Of IFS...

Thanks KHW. It was fun. Red lined her for minutes on end to test the engine out. Always try to kill those Toyota engines, but never can. Must say the wheel speed with the 3.4 liter is incredible. The 2nd to 3rd gear shift in my old 22R would bog down even red lined. No longer a problem in the 3.4 liter.
Thanks kidd.

I really like the creature comforts of the 4Runner. I have built several crawlers in the past, but never a 4Runner. The added rear weight of the 4Runner makes it balance out real well. And the center of gravity seems decent.
I also forgot to take pictures of moving the rear shackle hangers back 4", which made it pretty close to level now. The wheel base ended up at 108 inches. The front was pushed forward 4.5 inches and the rear was pushed back one inch. I believe the factory wheel base is 102.5 inches but correct me if I am wrong. The rear still sags maybe an inch. I will build the front bumper and see how much more it squats in the front. And then try to lower the front to match the rear. As of now with 35 psi in the tires, she measures 23.5 inches from the frame to the ground. I would have liked to make it sit lower, but with the IFS frame and leaf springs its hard to do with out really hacking up the frame. My patients wore thin and I just had to get her together to wheel!
Thanks to YotaTech and everyone to help keep my motivation up. And any questions, comments, or suggestions are always welcome.

Started on the front bumper yesterday. Sorry for the blurry picture. I got the winch for 200 dollars. It is a XRC8 Smittybilt. Brand new looking. The controller is off it right now for the mock up. And I might relocate the controller anyways.
