Ok so I cracked and made a build thread thanks to Redeth005 lol anyways this is going to be a slow build since this is my first swap and all so bare with me guys and gals.
So here's the victim, 1990 4runner, V6 5speed, currently lifted using bj spacers and rear landcruiser coils.
Here's the axle out of a 85 yota 4runner or pickup not sure which one though.
A pic of my dad cutting away the unneeded slag.
Axle gusset tacked on I welded the diff beef but didn't take a picture must of forgotten :-P
Axle painted with the, knuckles on and seals installed well axle seals that is.
That's as far as I've gotten I'm still waiting on parts to arrive from trail gear, my backing plate eliminator, lock washers, cones and nuts should be here Friday hopefully.

Just wondering and I'm hoping you SAS guys can answer this, but will the landcruiser coils in the back match height wise to the 3 inches (4 technically) leaf springs in the front?

Thanks! But the reason I haven't updated is because I've made no progress. The rear frame of my rig is falling apart there were a bunch of holes in the frame that I made with a hammer so right now the rig is on Jack stands with the rear axle out. So I'm currently patching/reinforcing parts of the rear frame section sigh.

As long as you're back there working on the frame, you might as well get ready to set up leafs or change to a better 4 link. Every sas I've seen with the 3" springs ends up more like 6" of lift and it varies how much they sag over time.

I was thinking about converting to leafs but the trail gear kit is a bit pricey my wallet is still limping after the ifs eliminator kit lol and I'm not sure if the 63 inch chevy leafs will lift the rear enough with out me adding lift blocks too it

Haha what a relief! Anyways I'm still working on the rear frame and well decided or was forced to abandon the leaf swap for now. My old man took the initiative and well beefed up the rear link mounts for my truck and I don't have the heart to tell em I wanna cut em off lol so I'll live with the rear being linked for a while now I need to figure out how to beef up the links themselves. Google time!

Just a little update as to what ive been doing for the past couple of weeks which isnt the SAS btw :p So the rear end of my truck is in pretty bad shape due to years of salt and snow and previous owners neglecting the trucks frame and not rust proofing it. So long story short my truck had a bunch of holes in the frame mainly the rear spring perches and the crossmembers for the upper trailing arms and rear panhard bar. Unfortunately i didnt take pictures lol i do have pictures of the plates that i used though and the lower link mount my dad beefed up.
Also while i was back there i found that when i installed the rear LC coils i had put the taller one on the driver side and the short one on the passenger side and the shock on the passenger side was dead lol no wonder i had a lean on my RR. So i ordered a set of Bilstein 5125 10" shocks without doing research lol. As you all know 4runners dont have the hole type mounts like most other rigs do, sure the bottom is ok, but for the top its a different story. So i needed to get creative and make an adapter which would allow me to run these shocks.
Test fitment
Welded
Reinforced
Installed
I had to cut about half an inch off the bottom since it did hit the top of the shock and it cost me nothing had all the stuff lying around at home.So far its holding up to normal driving i havent really used them off road and havent flexed out the rear either since i just got the rig back on the road again
Also i will be starting the SAS tomorrow either in afternoon or evening since im going fishing in the morning so just bare with me those who care lol
