Ok so to pick up where i left off i tore down the front end Friday afternoon(started raining so had to stop fishing early "sad face")

Goodbye IFS i will miss ye......not really

Grinding down the remnants of my IFS

Holes for the frame tubes (Ran out of Acetylene so i used my ARC welder to make the holes lol)

Centering the front spring hanger

Rear Shackles installed

Axle bolted to leaf Springs

Shock Hoops and braces i guess lol

And thats as far as ive gotten pretty decent for 3 days not yet done though still need to install the steering stabilizer, shocks, bleed brakes and align the front as best i can lol

I've thought about it but if I did get taller springs I'm pretty sure the stock links wouldn't hold up especially the uppers and seeing as how all pro doesn't make there adjustable upper links for my truck anymore I figured might as well go leafs plus I like it when things match lol

Well i just found out that my LSPV is leaking from the rubber boot which sucks balls cause i dont have a spare one lying around and because if i take that thing off to fix it i might not be able to put it back together looks like its held together by rust sigh. Good news is i just ordered a Manual Proportioning valve from ebay hopefully my LSPV doesnt explode on it self before i get the replacement.

Also i just picked up some 63" Chevy springs believe it or not these were the best springs i could find at the scrapyard the rest were either flat, missing leafs, cracked or too buried in the ground to be worth the trouble. They're off a 97 1500 couldnt find any Ford springs in the same condition so just went with the Chevys.

They came with almost all the hardware aside from the missing u-bolts now i gotta figure out how to set these up on the frame and axle >=( i hate measuring!

So today while i was fighting with one of the leaf spring bolts i decided to add the leafs that came with my SA to the chevys just to see what they'd look like lol

They gave the chevys some more arch and what not, probably gonna run these just to see what happens also i think the chevys came with lift blocks unless they came from factory with those? Im not sure to be honest but kinda glad that they did since i ve read that the chevys need some lift blocks to level out the rear, hopefully i dont need them with my hybrid leaf pack lol

Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the leaf swap!

By the way, you have a PM from a while ago (unless you've already seen it)

My Silverado has blocks with it from factory but its a z71, I would guess if it was 2wd the blocks would be gone. Hopefully you don't need them.

I'm hoping too.... anyways I won't be doing the leaf swap for some time my old man smoked a curb in his 4runner and bent the rear axle shaft hub face so the garage is occupied with his truck and seeing as how my rig is the only means of transportation at the moment I can't take it off the road yet. Oh well gives me time to collect the parts I need er order I mean lol

Just got my MPV (no not mazda) today planning on placing it somewhere inside the truck where i can adjust it without having to get out of the truck.

Also pulled the spare rear axle housing i have from the parts truck it doesnt look pretty, but ill clean it up and make it look mint.

And lastly i cleaned and spray painted some of me leaf springs might make em green lol
