I vote Ocotilo I guess since not everyone wants to bivouac it.

 

Looks like we will make Ocotillo Wells our base camp. I have done many of the trails in that area, but I am sure there are others I have not done--like the slot, truckhaven, pumkinpatch, and others. I am going to try to get my friend to join us--he lives in Ocotillo and owns a very built 85 runner. I will help plan this, but I will not be there until early Sat morning.

I would like some input on what kind of terrain we should go for, and how many people are going.

Time is flying by and I want this to be a fun trip, so help me out.

 

okay, so ocotillo is it? if so, let's make a new thread with the final decision on date and place so that thread can be dedicated to the details.

 

This thread already has the date and area-why start another one?

 

well this one opened with some choices on where to go within the san diego area, not concrete details from the start. just thinking it'd be convenient to have a thread just for details of the jambo, not deciding where to go mixed in there. but whatever.
