YotaTech - Holister Hills Run Feb 28, 2004 - PICS

Several of us YotaTechers met at Holister Hills SRVA today and did some wheeling. We had lots of fun and learned a few things. I found out that my new Revos ROCK THE HOUSE!!!! even in gummy clay mud. They're definitely not M/Ts but they held their own. We saw a few Jeeps wedged in a crevass on the way up to Hector heights(pic). I also saw a Suziki that some kid rolled on my way out(pic).

Fremontia was definitely fun going up, and Gusto Gulch/Hill was a a little scary coming down. Yikes!! You didn't so much drive down the last section but rather, hang on and let gravity give you a ride(pics). No one had enough traction here and it made things very interesting. As the leader coming down, I was the guinea pig on this one and there was a major pucker factor until we figured out what mother nature was gonna do with our rigs. Enjoy!

P.S. Let me know if you want any of the originals and I'll send em to you. They were taken at 1600x1200.

Yeah, the guy in the white jeep showed up at the top with a broken bead after we finished lunch. He had to be winched out and sustained damage to his door and quarter panel. They did a really schetchy job of jacking up his rig to take the tire off. We thought for sure someone was gonna get whacked. Guess he deserved the beer he was having although I woulda waited.......

Where's the pics of everyone else on the mini rubicon?

Great pics. Wheeling is one of very few things I miss about Kalifornia.
