What The Hell Happened To Reiter??

Perhaps I've missed something important, but what the HELL are they doing to reiter?? The whole upper power line area has been graded flat, including the old V-notch area!!?? What are they doing this for? IS reiter going to be logged? And will it be shut down?? They ran the road right through the middle of the big sandy hill climb in the upper power line area. When I was up there a few weeks ago, we had to contend wih a bulldozer who was making this road. Not to mention that they've chopped down a ton of foilage, and built a road on our trails. Whats goin on here??????

You might want to post on http://www.snort4x4.com/forum/ for Reiter questions. I think they're a little more knowledgable over there...

Sorry, can't help ya.

Snort's a great local WA. state forum for info on trails in our area.
We almost decided here also to not accept Hotmail accounts, they are a PITA.
Every week we need to help people get regged here because Hotmail puts the server generated reg letter in the junkmail folder, or people don't even get it.

Hotmail sucks big time.
I spend over an hour each week straightening out what Hotmail messes up here.

I've had no trouble with Hotmail. Actually, I did register over there with a Hotmail account...guess I better go on and make sure it still works.

re: Junkmail...sounds like it is the user's fault, not Hotmail. It's not idiot proof, but it works. They should be expecting that registration e-mail...and check their Junkmail for it, then just add "yotatech.com" to their Safe-list. Easy as pie...

Jim

edit: Yup, still works fine...registered to go to my Hotmail account.

I'm not sure what's going on. It sounds like much has changed since last
weekend when I was there. Just remember the powerline area is just that, a
powerline and they have rights to build access roads through there to
maintain their stuff.

When were you up there, Thursday?

Its been a while since I was up there, and I was up there yesterday. WHOA. Much brush has been cleared out around the graded 'road' - its all been opened up - at least on the upper section. Looks like they are making way for moving one of the power towers.

There are a few reasons for all of this. I think the power company(forget which one) was planning to go thru and regrade/work on there towers, but it was sped up due to those who are dip˟˟˟˟s. Back durring the end of summer, and few intoxicated individuals decided it would be fun to shoot at the insulators on the towers, and well, to say the least, they made a mess of the system.... There has been no talk of closing the area yet, we have been working with the company to make sure it stays open...
