went out in the snow today

It snowed about 5 inches so far today, and its still coming down too. 4 of us went out on the trails tonight and had a blast. There was a 95 wrangler with dual lockers and 35 super swampers, 63 CJ on 35's and rear ARB, 97 ranger on 33's and me. the snow sure made for one hell of a ride, we didnt get any pics unfortunatly cause we were always so busy trying to keep moving and spotting eachother. Carnage included my over heated tranny(not a good thing), the ranger over heated his engine, 63 CJ broke a windshield and a mirror and the wrangler bashed up the side of the jeep. I am hoping to get back out tomorrow if the university decides to close or on sunday and get some daytime snow wheeling pics.

How did the 4Runner handle in the snow with the MTRs?

THe MTR's seem to do fine. this will be my second winter on them. In the loose, powdery stuff they are awesome. But on the slicker icier roads they slip some. As long as you are aware of it, have snow experience and drive carefully, you should be fine on them. The only thing i have against them is they give me trouble with my chains. The cross chains if they slip get caught in the large side lugs and then the loose chain will hit the front of the wheel well. I got some new tighteners this year so hopefully i shouldnt have too many praoblems.
