That depends upon you. The only damage I have ever taken at Tahuya was from doing something stupid that I KNEW was stupid before I did it. I tried to walk off a ledge that I knew was too big for my configuration at that time and came down hard on my left front wheel, shredding the teeth in the steering rack

It's tight trails and a whole lot of mud, but with a reasonable amount of due care and caution, the threat is very low. There's a few spots we might caution you away from, but for most the threats are obvious. If in doubt ask. Many of us have spent way too many hours crawling around there.

Or, another way to think of it is...

If In doubt, don't follow me! (I've gotten a little nutty these days)

There's a downhill there that I want to try again. You guys up to give a spot? I promise I won't boil over on the way down this time!

On another sub-topic... We need to get in sync with the ferry place/time.

The one to take is the Bremerton Ferry which pulls out at 7:35AM. Being down there no later than 7:15 is the thing to aim for. The schedule and such is here:

http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/sche...m?route=sea-br

I think food service is still discontinued on the ferries, so plan accordingly!

You can follow me around... Muhahahhahahhahahah!

The 7:35 boat is the one I recommend on the event details page and the one I will be on. So, any interested parties are more than welcome to meet me there we can caravan from Bremerton.

Just a reminder. Extending your diff breathers is a good idea before getting on the boat. The odds are in the waters favor at Tahuya. Everybody gets a little damp, how damp and how much your fluids need changing is up to you

HAHAHAHAH!!!! Yeah... and can you believe that I just (JUST!) picked up a real breather nipple last night?

Should I offer again to do this for folks Rob?

Only if you want to by laying on the deck of the boat and again in the dirt at the air down spot again...

Cody and Ray - you should both go!

There's a good sized mud "puddle" (more like a small lake) that you may both want to stay away from, but beyond that, "mud" is defined as mud, not "3' of water with dirt on the bottom". Your rigs will get dirty, and there are some tight turns out in the "back 40", but body damage can pretty easily be avoided by making 3-point turns and the like.

It's a good time...

Check the link I posted above to my page from when we went in January. Take away the snow, and you'll get an idea of what to expect.

You will have a blast. Get out and measure the stuff that looks deep this time and you will have no problems with Tahuya.

Tahuya is a fun little place that is were I went for my first official run and these guys are more than willing to give a spot or answer a question nobody wants to see someone damage their truck.

This would be the "puddle" of which Mark speaks.

There are 3 puddles that you should stay clear of if you are stock. The bigger water puddles have some sort of bypass around them.

Cody and Ray should definitely make the journey.

Ray, i know most of these guys, i've been out with them twice, but only at reiter trails. They kicked some serious ass when i turned my 4Runner into a submarine. Taught me a lot and didnt leave me behind!
