Here's some video from the last "Token" Jeep we had along for a Tahuya run...

*NOTE: Video contains coarse language and may not be suitable for viewing in all environments. If the "F" word bothers you or those around you, mute your speakers, THEN watch the video

Not directly Tahuya related, but I thought I'd share this. Get your diff breathers on! Here's my story.
I recently upgraded to Dana 60s, which came with the stock diff breathers. i was too lazy to put the hoses on. Well, today I got the damage report. I brought the rig back to S&N fab due to leaking axle seals - for a warranty repair. They discovered that the pumpkin was half full of water and mud, which has eaten away at the pinion bearing - destroying that as well as the seal and damaging the housing. It also destroyed the right side axle seal and bearing. Luckly the gears and ARB weren't damaged. The shot wheel bearing contributed to a death wobble, which likely sheared the right side spring center pin and broke one of the mounts holding the steering box in. So, being too lazy to route a breather line, cost me around $1000 buckaroos.
Tahuya is notoriously wet so get your breathers on!

Should be a good time, haven't seen a few of you in quite a while, and as Greg mentioned, talk about a 180 in terms of terrain since Moab. If Greg doesn't spill the beans about his front bumper, I will....The compilation DVD of the pics for the Moab 4runner Foray should be arriving by then, so we can have a show and tell on the ferry.
Ray- make sure you've got a spare tire! I think Tahuya was one of my very first runs I did, with Shane, Jim and Markus a while back. I didn't have a lift, and only AT tires and I did just fine. I think I smacked the spare tire underneath once or twice on that narrow/twisty trail (what's the name of that?). At any rate, I'm looking forward to doing the back 40 this time.

It's REALLY important to sign-up for this run. Signing up means that you're asking us to look out for you. We'll do that, but of course but we can't hold the ferry. It's a long drive around the water.
If you miss the ferry, then you're also gonna miss how to get from the ferry docks in Bremerton to the Safeway on the other side.
I figure Rob's truck is the most identifiable... I vote him as the check-in spot.

side note!
For the folks taking the ferry, don't forget that there's a FEE to do this. It's a bit pricey, but well worth not having to drive around!
For a single person in a vehicle, you're looking at $20 round trip. Each passenger is another $11.40 round trip. (They take credit cards
