Yeah,I like my fast cars too.I'm more into the v8's though .I did have a 92 prelude at one point but lost interest fast. There are alot of nice/fast imports out there though.Nothing like the sound of a healthy v8.

Here it is.
http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=1221
4 X 4 Area
The 4 x 4 area is open to 4 x 4's, buggies, Pilots, and Odysseys. For safety reasons, motorcycles and ATVs are not permitted to use this area.
The 4 x 4 area is a haven for 4-wheel drive enthusiasts that love our mud. We have a very heavy clay that is extremely challenging for our mud enthusiasts. Just remember, if you get stuck, you are responsible for getting yourself out.

In addition, we have constructed obstacles in the 4- wheel drive obstacle course. We now have the Stairsteps, Frametwister, Mini-Rubicon, Mud Pit, Gravel Pit, and Dry River Bed. The obstacles range from very easy to extremely difficult. Be careful, as it is very easy to damage your vehicle.

i jsut ran the barney riley trail this weekend, the route that we took i would defently not call easy. there might be another way in but i didnt find it. there are a TON of stuff up in the tahoe area, off of 4, 88, 89, 50 ect. there is Prairie City which is right near sac. (decibed above by jedi87) its alright the obsitacal couse is ok especally if its a first time. there is Carnigie (sp?) in Tracy, i have yet to get out there, but what i have heard its ok, but more set up for bikes and quads, not 4WD. There is Frank Raines Near Patterson. i've only been there once but it was pretty cool, there are alot of hills tho with steep cliffs. there is Hollister Hills in the city of Hollister, a bit of a drive from sac, but DEFENTLY worth it. this place is HUGE. futher south is Clear Creek but by then your almost to SoCal. I've been to Feather River area up near chico. pretty senic area wiht some more or less logging roads to play around on. Sorry for the short novel on wheelin in NorCal. i am in Stockton (dont laugh, its not by choice... ) and i try to go wheelin about once a month, let me know if you want someone to go wheelin with ya. more trails can be found here http://www.norcalttora.com/trails/

is she going to UOP by any chance? or does she just live here? i'd be down for a Prairie city run sometime, maybe on a Tues, thrus, or sunday? (i am out of class at noon on tues/thrus so a 1/2 day trip would be fun plus there wouldnt be anyone else there) close and cheap. plus you can get your feet wet with out gettng into TOO much trouble.

Hey guys, been lookin for people around the Tracy area lately.

Tofer...Stockton sucks! UOP is a wonderful school though, I assume that you're going there. They have a really good engineering program from what I remember, and the only people I know who went there were very smart and applied.

Anyways I thought I'd chime in since I've been to Carnegie in my 82 longbed. Carnegie is a MX/quad park for sure, they call the 4x4 section a "play area." It's not big at all, and my truck took the frame twister, their hardest looking thing, no problem. Hell it was the first time I'd ever been wheelin. Not the worst place, but it's like a square mile tops. Sounds kinda like the prarie city place, from what I read of it.

Anyways I'm new to wheelin, and would like a couple buddies with some experience to go wheeling with, maybe hit up some light trails on weekends and such. Unfortunately I'm selling the 82, but I have a 90 4runner I'm going to be driving and working on. Oh and I'm in Germany right now, should be back in a month.

I'll try to keep in touch though. Nice to know theres someone in the area.

-Andrew
