Same one as the fireman training academy?

That would be most convenient...

I do still want to visit Cle Elum, et-al eventually. Their park service actually puts out a map with 4x4 trails marked. I've been itching to go out there for a while...just rather do it when there's more time (on a Sat. or Sun.).

I'd vote for Mt. Gardner too- sounds like we'll have a pretty good-sized group heading out. I'm itching to try out the new SAWS...

Add another vote for Mt. Gardner; I don't think _I'm_ done exploring Tinkham, but I already know where that is.

So what are the directions to get to the place that you are guys are headed to on Thursday? I would be coming from up north on I-5.

Someone else jump in here if I'm wrong, but from I-5 north, head east on I-90 (connecting from 405 North). I think its exit 39, but if its the exit for the Fire Academy Training, there is a sign that says that. We have been meeting right off the exit to air down, and usually try to get people to show up a couple minutes early o that we can be moving by 7:00 or shortly thereafter. CB channel 4 if you need to give us a holler.

The Fire Academy exit? That is in Northbend, correct? I went to that place a few years back for shipboard firefighting training. That was pretty cool being in a burning building with a temperature of like 1800 degrees! THey had pallets soaked with kerosene burning like well, hell I guess. So what time you guys meet up there? I can get there a little early since it is my day off.

I'll probably be up there a few minutes before 7:00- the traffic out of Seattle is a bit hectic so its hard to say for sure.

FYI- the girlfriend is coming along, so if any of you can convince your significant others to join us, it'd be nice to have some more females for her to chat with. I don't want to scare her off!

I will dress in my buckskin loincloth and play Ted Nugent at top volume on the stereo, if you think that will help...

Hey Kevin,

I've got a magnetic antenna from Radioshack, if you needed something to use in the meantime- it sucks if there are alot of low branches on the trail because it'll get knocked off the roof (it sounds like the Mt. Gardner trail will have alot of branches) , but you won't have to worry about trying to get an antenna mounted. Depending on which one you get, you can just do the cig. lighter plug for power, and worry about hard-wiring it later. The cheapest CB at Radioshack has worked fine for me.

Yeah, most of them do. There's a Radio shack in Ballard that's close to Golden Gardens. You could check that one out on Wed, but it wouldn't give you much time for the install.

Yeah, I haven't installed my Badlands Windshield to prevent cracking upon him letting loose with "Cat Scratch Fever!"

hahhahah It wasn't THAT bad...

Ape was subjected to my rendition of "Piece of my heart" accompanied by Janis herself at top volume a couple of weekends ago when we were over in Naches.

And, I might note, he lived to tell about it, so much for the rumors...
