Honestly, Ive beat the hell out of my TG sliders, and even though they are a few inches short on either side it has never caused me problems. Especially if you modify them a little then youll be fine. Counting down the days, so stoked!

I did not have mine for a while over the summer either. I had to put a hold on installing the T-case again. I have all the parts now and will be starting the install right after this trip. I may try to make a two day trip back up at Squaw Ridge after the install. I am vary excited to get too use the double low gears. I will let everyone know when the install is done and when I'll be headed back up there.

why did you not have yours for awhile? I thought you were gonna do a drivetrain lift before adding the dual case?

smog and registration issues had my truck down for almost three months. Plus I was not doing to well with finances for five months before that.

As for the T-case install. I was going to be doing the drive-train lift at the same time. That way I only need to have the drive-shafts modded once. It will all work out in the end and has been coming together vary slowly as I was buying the parts. All the parts are bought and paid for as well. so there is no lingering debt. I am guessing my truck will be down for a total of four days max during the install. I know there will be at least a one day turn around for the drive-shafts too be modded. I should have the old T-case out and the new T-case installed in one day. Only after it is installed can I measure for the proper Drive-shaft length.

I will be totally stoked for the install. I've been waiting too long for this day and it is vary close now. Build thread will be coming soon too.

I am also making plans to do the long travel this year and 63's in the rear. My goal is too be able to Travers Hell Hole next summer, along with the one and only Rubicon.

I'm looking good to go. Just finished the front AAL and new shock install, so things are looking good. Now I just need to clean up the rear of the truck and pack up all my gear.

Question: Anyone on here in the Sacramento Area with a MIG Welder? I want to finish a couple of non-critical welds on my sliders before they get their first use.

Other Questions: How many peeps are planning on bringing Wives, Girlfriends, Significant Others, etc? My wife is contemplating coming, but she probably won't want to come if she'll be one of the only spouses there (she's not big on off-roading, just on camping, haha).

^? Does that mean your lower ball joint is making noise? that reminds me...i should do some investigation in my front end. i think my driver's side UBJ is making noise when i come to a stop. heck, it only lasted 19yrs. what brand have y'all used that's not $75 each? contemplating going autozone duralast because it's lifetime warr, cheaper than moog, and everyone likes their idler arms. toyota guy wants $55/ea OEM parts, no warranty and not greasable. hmm....

as for the female situation. i don't think my wife's coming this time.

I'm ready as well, however, all of a sudden my brake light wont go out on my 87' carbed truck. Once I fix that I'll be ready to go; looking forward to it.

I am ordering a mig welder today. So ill let you know when i have it. hope you can weld, as it has been a vary long time for me and i need lots of practice.

here is the way i view it. if you have a wife, girlfriend or other and that person loves nature and camping. bring them, the views are breathtaking and are worth the trip by them selves.

I would stay away from the autozone Bj's. I did lots of reading when I was going to replace mine. Every where says the autozone Bj's fail quickly. As good as the price is on the autozone Bj's, the head ache is not worth it. I went with moog and have been vary please so far.

Did your wife have her fill of the mosquito from last year Brian? Its a shame she would not make this trip.

don't let some break light stop you. you have hand signals. LOL.

I am ready and good to go. After the trip i will have more work too do. such as rebuild my idler arm and replace my front break disks, along with greasing wheel bearings. I mustn't forget to install the T-case when I get back from the trip as well.

If I get the rig back and its in a confident operating condition, I'll go.

I get my rear bumper this week. i'd really like to test it out, but im worried that it'll be too much weight for the rear springs. and it'll rub like a SOB.

But I already have my check list going on getting my camping equipment together.
