the permit is a blanket permit. We only need one permit and that covers every person in out group no matter the size or number of people in the group. I will be stopping by the ranger station on my way up there. I'll be meeting you all at the damn.

soo...received my 4 ball joints in the mail today and swapped the driver's side out. unfortunately this did not resolve the clunking noise i've been hearing when coming to a stop. now i'm thinking it's the 19yr old control arm bushings that are worn out and causing the sloppy connection, clunk sound that i hear when coming to/from a stop and when going over bumps in the road.
i dunno what to do now. think i'll be ok on the trail if i leave it for now? i've been driving the truck to work this past week and my wheel hasn't fallen off when hitting a janky section of the freeway at 70mph. i guess if it came down to it i could try to massage the my Cruiser through Squaw with some good spotting...

might not have a CB...
tonight got the old cb "ghetto wired" and wouldnt you know it, the damn thing is shot... all the lights come on, but there is no sound or no channel lights, etc... SMH... if i can get a new one before the trip, i might be doing some wiring at the campground the night before the wheeling starts...
if anyone wants to work some wiring magic, and maybe has some wiring utensils (crimpers, strippers, cutters, spade clips) because id dont have them and my wiring skills are ZERO... gah... i dont wanna go wheeling deaf!

I'm bringing the SWR meter and some electrical equipment as well... I dont see how the CB could be "blown". Where did you get it?
on another note. I'm all packed up and ready to go! except for clothes and coolers. Oil Change, Air filter and car wash today. then Im gonna try and take my spare tire carrier out from underneath the truck. and also see how much an upper intake hose is. ( mine cracked, so bull crap )

4Runners Packed and ready to go for the most part. Just need to pack clothes, buy foods and pack the ice cooler.
On a side note, apparently I should have invested in the 14" Zuk coils, the 12" are letting me down now that she's loaded up. Oh well, still above the bumpstops (unlike last time) so I can't complain.
See you all Saturday morning!!!
