SoCal Wrightwood Fest Run Set July 15

FJ Cruiser fans and friends, newbies and more experienced,

We are having another ride on July 15th in the Wrightwood area. It is planned as a easy to medium run going across Cleghorn into the Angeles forest ending at Devil's punchbowl.

Meeting time and place: 9:00 a.m. at I-15 and Hwy 138, east side of Fwy.

We had a blast at the Big Bear Bonanza Fest several weeks ago with 11 FJ Cruisers in the line-up.

For those wanting further info on the run visit www.fjcruiser.cc

I will also post here as info becomes available.

Wrightwood July 15the Run Up-date

This run will be led by a pro. It is just a one day event.

We will be meeting at the junction of I-15/Hwy 138. Cross the overpass and you're there. There are several gas stations for fueling up. We are trying to leave at 9 a.m.

We will run Cleghorn to Devil's Punchbowl to a geological site w/ nature center. The run will be mild to medium. Rock rails are not mandatory. But for who want to get more medium experience that will be there for you also.

Please pack luch and clothing for several climate changes.

If you have a CB radio, please bring that.

We will have some experienced drivers with tow and emergency eqiupment.

Newbies, this is your chance to learn for some pros.

If you have further questions, please send me a pm.

We run safe and sane, so no booze, please.

Magazines for Our USA Troups

At the Wrightwood Fest, we will be collecting magazines to send to our USA Troups overseas.

We are not making a political statement here, just showing our support for those who are willing to put their lives on the line.

So bring all your old/new off-road and car magazines. Bring magazines for the women troups also.

We will make sure they get there.

Up-date to SoCal Wrightwood Fest 7/15

Go to the following link for a map of the area we are going to run and some final info. 2 members did a pre-run today and said it was a blast.

Although this run is set up for FJ Cruisers, we also welcome other appropriate 4x4s including Jeeps.

We already have a list of people going on this run. If you are going, please pm me. We will be meeting at the same intersection at McDonald's.

We will have a brief meeting to give a few safe running guidelines and then we're off.
