Camping would have been for Sat night in order to make it a two day weekend but I now have plans for Sat so it'll just be a day trip for me.

Sweet, I was just in McCook Nebraska and heard some awesome p.dog stories, including a "triple shot", one shot that killed three of 'em, and a 500 yard shot that became the talk of the town. I'm stoked!

Got an AR15 and a Savage over-under wit a 20gauge and a .223 (pretty cool novelty). I'm gonna put the crappy 4X scope off my .22 on the AR. Should work well enough. I'm prety stoked. We're gonna go up to Old Flowers Rd. next Sunday and get everything dialed in. What's everybody bringin'?

You gonna actually show up for this one, or will it be like the Carnage Canyon run this weekend? LMAO

(just giving you a hard time - was really hoping you'd show so I could check out your bumper!)

I might be on for this one. May pick up a rifle in 17HMR with a small scope for this. Dont really have the AR dialed in just yet how I want it. And put a nice lil kiss on my gas tank skid this past weekend on Crystal (went up Moody and Crystal over the weekend). Came down 44H all 3 days this weekend (saturday up old flower and back down monument gulch, moody and crystal sunday, and just up and over pennock pass monday).

I know dude, I felt like a real loser for missing the trip...once the hangover wore off! Looks like you guys had a great crew there though. I'm not flaking out on this shooting trip, though I can't say the same for my brother.
And Dave, you've been busy lately! Bring out that little HMR! I'm bummed I can't get hold of my dad's Ruger Deerfield, heavily scoped, in .44Mag. Awesome rifle. By bro and I are gonna go sight in at Old Flowers Rd this weekend.

Sunday. Don't know what time yet. Old Flowers doesn't have much for shooting, but there is one area we can set up and sight in. It's better than Pawnee because there is no wind. Come along dude, you wanna try for noon? This girl I've been seeing might bring her 30-06. It's an old one, but it's got a 10X scope, lol.

I missed it too Molly. I'll just hope that my hardware is roughly on sight when we get it there. Oh, and I think my bro is flaking out. Not surprised.

I wish it didn't take so long to get to Ft. Collins.

As hot as its been getting lately, I would like to get out there asap.
Let me know what time you plan on leaving, my house is just off of the highway and I can meet you at the exit you would need to take.
If you could get up here around 9:00, I think that would be early enough.
Bring lots of ice water and sun screen.

Mapqwest has drive time for me at 2 1/2 so I'll probably roll out around 5:30 6:00 and plan to be early (8-8:30). I can be there earlier if necessary. Will I need to stop at the local wally world and get a license for the mound rats? I need to have one for pheasent and waterfowl in the fall so it's not an issue for me to get one, I just need to plan the time and have a place to get it.

No licence needed for the rats. But we can still go to Wal-Hell if you want to.

Sure thing man. Can you make 5:30? I've got both back seats down so there should be room, despite the fact that I'm currently planning on bringin the whole arsenal.

Mudmonkey, You got a CB? I can't tell from your avatar. I'll only have room for 2 so we'll need communication 'tween vehicles.

I have a CB, so we're good to go!

On a side note, it is 100 degrees up here right now!
BRING SUNSCREEN & ICE WATER!!!
It feels like someone is holding a giant magnifying lens over the area.
