Looking back this is a pretty exclusive thread we got going here, Waiting for the moderators to ask what this has to do with 4wheel trip planning. Perhaps we should take this to the PM's?

Sorry about that. I was out in Old Town friday night for st. pats, up in eldora today skiiing, and then down in blackhawk this evening gambling some. I think a little better weather on another day may be a better bet. Sorry about taking so long to get back to you.

I'm always up for popping off a few rounds. I've got a few guns I haven't shot in a while.

Yeah, we'll get our chance. Hell, it's only 2 hours to Gering, so we should plan a prairie dog trip to MudMonkey's territory!

Hell yeah. I'd like to get a few things on the AR before I do that. At least the fullfloat barrel and scope.

Bah, forget the free float. you have a carbine right? Unless you're shooting match with a full 22" barrel, free-floating won't really make much difference. It wouldn't make sense to free-float mine, for example, because it's a raid gun, designed for fast acquisition, close combat. The optics aren't magnified, I'm not gonna be shooting at targets 200yds away. If I had a long barrel and a magnified scope, then it might make sense to free float for serious marksmanship. Have you seen the Leupold MK IV CQT? Man, I wish I'd bought it instead of my EOTech. http://www.leupold.com/products/tact...Mark_4_CQT.htm

Bah! Why do you want a Glock? Are you looking to do house raids with your local SWAT team or something? Get something that's functional and attractive too. If you're going to purchase a .45, get a 1911 design (i.e. Colt, Kimber, Para, Springfield, etc.) The design works so well, it has been around almost a hundred years! Check out my beauty...
I'm sure to be the first of many that will recommend a 1911 .45 over a tactical pistol like a Glock. Check out www.1911forums.com (recommended to me by a Yotatecher....thanks, whoever you are!)

Depending on the final dates of another organized P-dog shot I'm taking part in with another forum I'm on, I'm in for either June 3/4 or June 10/11. I'll probably be making a cheaper than dirt (ammo by the case) order today or tomorrow.

Yep, I'm buying cheap-A__ Wolf ammo. I've got a mini so I'm not picky about brass. They all jam in my gun. Found that Sportmans is actually cheaper than online so will probably pick up 1000 there. They do have and increasing discount so let me know if your in.

Other plans set, how about Sat 11th or Sunday 12th. Spindle, you and I could hook up here in town and ride up thar.

This Weekend is out, Friend of the families' Graduation and a hiking trip up in the park.

Sounds like a plan for the 11th then. Let's see what Spindle has to say and run with it. Is there any wheeling nearby where I can camp?

I'm down for Sunday June 11th then! I've got 200 rounds for the AR, UMC brass. I'll probably bring a whole buttload of .22LR as well, it's the only scoped rifle I have. I may transfer the scope to the AR15 and try to get it on paper this weekend. But me and my bro are def down for the 11th.

No Wheeling. Nebraska is just slightly bumpier than Kansas, but you can camp in my yard if you want.

What night were you planning on camping?
