Kyle - on the avatar! (but it may be a little too much for this board )

I know I'll do Slickrock on Friday and possibly again on Saturday. I want to do some moderate to hard stuff for sure, but i don't know about Guardrail or Helipad since I'm only on 33's (but i am double locked and winched). I know I won't be on School Bus or Lower 2...

I'm down for all of them, hell I'll do them backwards!

haha, just kidding marc...
I'll probably run slicrock the first day and then possibly ride the second day and do the more hardcore stuff the second depending on how many people there are. I want this video to be more than the easy stuff. I'm starting my SR Project classes this quarter so there is a chance I might be bringing some crazy broadcast quality equipment if I decide to use this for my project. I haven't totally decided on what to do yet so be ready to do some interviews guys and glas! We shal see...

Lets go to Peckerwood, I'll spot you and you won't get any dents. Do I have dents? No and you have seen all the stupid stuff I do without a spotter.

Andy, I did the bypass on guardrail and helicopter pad, then down schoolbus by myself last time with no spotters or anyone for that matter. That's with an open front end, so if you're locked up front, you shouldn't have any trouble with a good spotter. You should do it man! They are a lot of fun and the pucker factor is fantastic!

Yeah, even with my Revo's and Walmart special spare. I would do all of it with a good spotter, and I think it's doable open up front. I would just want to make sure I had a good spotter, maybe a tether on the front end, just in case, and I think I could do it. You could definitely do it locked up front Andy. If it's wet, I may think about doing te bypass, but if it's fairly dry, rock and roll!

Chris

P.S. Steve definitely needs to see the harder trails at Tellico!

Yeah you did do that one all by yourself, once it started raining everyone bailed on you and your broken a$$. That was a nice downpour, my group was stuck on Trail 8 in that mote of a mud hole.

I'm glad to see some people are down of the big trails, I'm up for Slickrock and possibly the Pad and Gaurdrail if I can borrow Steve as a spotter. If not I will ride along with someone and let my co-driver enjoy my rig.

The bypass on Guardrail is doable with IFS third gen but there is a very strong possibility of body damage-Chris got some from the cables. The bypass on Helipad is like a paved driveway. If you go up Guardrail and Helipad-then you must either come back down those or go down Schoolbus, these are your only options unless you have a buggy. That being said, I'll think about it, I might be up for that run, but only if ZMan is my spotter! I'll also be needing plenty of counter weights on the sliders!

I will absolutley not be trying Guardrail, even if I was double locked-it's by far the most intense obstacle I have seen up there. I have never seen Peckerwood, but I can tell you that some of the guys in buggies that were doing Guardrail were scared of that ledge-so it must be really bad!

Peckerwood isn't doable in any of the rigs that any of us have driven or are driving now. It's a seriously huge ledge, to say the least.

Just to add...coming down schoolbus is VERY likely for body damage. 3rd gen or any 4runner. There are some Extremely tight, steep, and tippy turns that have rocks and trees that love to eat taillights, rear windows, and rear quarters. The few of us at last years event only made it up a 1/2 of the way and turned around and went down due to a monsoon (and that was the easier part of the trail). And body damage DID happen (3rd gen flop & 3rd gen rear window removal)

That said....looking forward to the event....and NO Austin...no Schoolbus for u....(unless your co-pilot)

Well I'm game for as much as I can get myself into. I trust Marc, Paul, and Bret as spotters becuase of previous experiance with them, and Steve off of sheer reputation and experiance w/ IFS 3rd gens. That said, let the games begin. Either way I'm going up on the big boys run Saturday with someone, I want to see the "fun" stuff .

I'm not knocking anyone's desire to run the hard stuff, because I'm usually game for just about anything. But, for those that aren't as used to running the hardest trails, I just wanted to mention that you should be willing and okay with the fact that damage, rollover and broken parts are possible. I can't wait for the trip, that's for sure!

I'm not in the position to where damage is ok, I still have one more year to pay this truck off. After a graduate and can afford a new car next year, and this is a trail truck, then IT'S ON.

I hear you Chris. When I say I'm game - what I mean is - if by then I feel I know my new truck well enough then I'm game. I'm cool with body damage & the broken parts, ลลลล happens - I'm trying to build my truck so broken parts don't happen.

You got a back seat ride no prob and front if my GF decides she doesn't wanna ride.
