Wow, I'm very impressed at how this trip started and where it is now. Anyone on here that's never been with these guys will have the time of their lives. They're awesome spotters, awesome friends, and they know how to have some fun.

Chris,
your one of "those guys" that made this trip what it is and made each time out on the trail FUN. It's not gonna be the same without you there.

I appreciate that Scott, and I'm truly going to miss being there. If my wife was more understanding of my love for the sport, it might be an option for me to be there more often.

What do we do about food? Is everybody resposible for their own cooking with the exception of the catered meal? Or does everybody kinda bring something and do it pop-luck style?

Yep, you are pretty much responsible for your own food, so bring enough to feed yourself for the weekend, and some type of cooler and/or food to take on the trails for the day. You won't go hungry, but you'll make more friends if you have something to share. There is always tons of food to "share".

And if you want alcohol, better bring it with you as Murphy, NC doesn't sell any anywhere, not a dry county, just don't sell it.

Great! I'll bring plenty of food.

I don't drink, so not having alcohol isn't a problem.

Whats up guys??

Not having the internet and working make it hard to post. I gernaded my second front diff so I cut the IFS off to get the diff out. I am starting a new job on Friday rigging boats for the Nautique dealer so I think it is time for a change. Unfortunently I want to SAS my unit cheap, luckly I have some axles. I basically traded a drive axle for a 85 waggy axle and I have 2 hi pinion D44 axles from a 78 Bronco and F-150 sitting in the yard. I am going to do coils and I am going to try my 5.5" superflex early Bronco coils that I already have, but am probibly gonna get some 3.5" later.

Some suspensions I am wanting to do include an extended radius arm syspension with Johnny Joints with a full width hi pinion D44. A waggy axle with a 3link or a hi pinion retubed with waggoneer outers 3 Link

I will use bullet proof steering for what ever axle I go with. It is about $450 and has rod ends similiar to the panhard I am building.

The rear will have a 3 link wishbone and extended rear links. I am swapping a 9" ford axle in the rear eventually, I have a small one and a long one depending on what happens with the front.

Hopefully I will have it ready for Tellico

It's day 1 and I got 3 axles, removed IFS and crossmembers and got 2001 headlights installed, I'll keep yall posted

Awesome John, I figured after the last SE4RJ it wouldn't be long before you dummed the IFS, you've always been hard on the stock configuration. Can't wait to see what comes out of the garage and pull up in Tellico. Good luck and do start up a thread.

Looks like I'll be able to make this one boys! I can't believe it, you guys didn't schedule this one on my finals weekend!? I'm sure I will have at least Brady with me and one of his buddies just picked up a 1st gen truck with a SFA and they have been working on that so I have a feeling that will end up on a trailer behind big green. Josh has really been wanting to get his truck up there also so I'll let him know/ask him if he wants to register too. There is a chance I'll be coming up through atl to pick someone up. Is there a caravan happening from good-ol A-Town yet?

Scott,
Did you get my message?

Why yes there is-on Thursday probably around Midday. So far, just me, Marc, and Yotaman.

cool cool, I might be able to jump in on that one but it might be a little early. I might have to come up friday depending on classes etc. I will have my laptop this year so I will be able to make CDs for anyone who wants picture CDs. We will have to see if I get my act together enough to do video too. I have a waterproof helmet cam I can put under the trucks etc etc so that could be quite cool, I just have to fix the wire from when I shut it in the sunroof DOH! :pat: So who is going to write the article for the yota mag?? I'll be sure to get plenty of pictures as usual!!

wait... who took your avatar? hmmmmm

I'll be sure to make a point and get some of you this time... Wait... didn't you lead me last time? I was driving so I didn't get as many as if I were riding but... do you want some more, I'm sure I got some of your truck. Most would be from behind but I'm sure I got some, did I not post any?

edit: I put two up... both look the same, but... isn't leading a pain? atleast you weren't making a video and leading the easy group. No wonder all the west coasters thing we are pansies... :pat:

One more question...

What are we doing about non-yotas this year? We are trying to discourage it like normal?
