I drove to Boston last year for the company, 1100 miles one way
that was 17 hours driving time - you'll win the award for the furthest distance for sure. Steve's flying so it don't count

Paul, I'm glad to see your coming, last time I was up in the cabins and missed hang'n with you and the others by the fire much that trip. This time I'll be there, ready for all the festivities. I was thinking of getting a bottle of Vodka to add to the stash in case you didn't come, what's a good suggestion from the man himself?

Hey, sounds like a great event especially if there are going to be a lot of people, I saw Andy's pictures, but I was wondering how nasty the terrain is? WOuld a truck like mine be able to make it through. I am kind of busy this year, but all ready planning for the future. Looks likea ton of fun, and its about 11 hours away, so I wouldnt mind driving if it was a great event. Just wondering how capable a rig needs to be though. Thanks,
Jason

I did trails 4,5,6, and 8 on 32's and Doc has done those on 31's with no locker. Sliders and a spotter will get you through those trails just fine.

nice, really thinking about going, I'm guessing you guys just camp right? I have an air mattress in the back of the Runner, I just would hate to drive down there and get left behind, are there different skill levels running there, or does everyone pretty much do the same trails?

We will run different groups for different levels and too keep the number of vehicles in a group down b/c the trails can get crowded. Plus, you can always ride with someone if you are uncomfortable. Trust me, we've all been there with the Tellico lore, but you'll be fine. Come to the event, you won't regret it. Plus Paul the Russian is one hell of a chef.

Stumbled onto this from 4x4wire....I'm a definite "maybe" since I only live about an hour and a half away
I'll have to see how the vehicle holds up for Uwharrie in April first though

3 Olives is a good choice, Stoli, Freeze, Sky. These are that we prefer to drink, but there are plenty of different brands out there. We just like to stick with something that give us less hangover next day.

I've got room for a ride along if anyone is uncomfortable with the terrain. You can ride along on Friday to get a feel for the trails and then drive Saterday if you feel good about things. All the Tellico lore surrounds the trails like Slickrock, Gaurdrail, and Lower 2, most of the others are not that bad with a good spotter, and we have plenty of those(Paul, Mark, and Bret got me through my first trip
)
