PICTURES!!! Lake Isabelle Run
Well, Jim (JRUZ) and I headed out to enjoy the great WA weather we've been having lately by running up to Reiter "trails" for some offroading fun. We barely got started before Jim had to tow a deadfall off the trail, singing "I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay..." Believe me, he doesn't have much of a singing voice. Anyways, we had a blast, and I had some serious pucker moments come down some gnarly rocky spots. A great spotter always helps though! Other than pinstriping and a smack on Jim's sliders, no damage to speak of, other than some curious stains on my upholstery... On the way out, we ran into Gene (Dread) and Rob (WATRD), about ready to head out with a group on a Trail 101 run. There were some nice looking jeeps and, get this, and Oldsmobile Bravada, well-known for their offroad prowess.. Anyways, the link to the pics are below:

Great pics David, looks like you had a fun time!
Do you have any of Mike's inclinometers? That's a good way to gauge your pucker point.
I had a few times over 30 degrees this weekend.

It was definitely alot of fun, except for some annoying Quad-riders who turned the main staging area into a dust bowl.
Jim, the detailers were able to get out the stain, but suggested Scotchguard in the future BTW, if you want any of those pics, I can send the high res versions to you.
Tom, 30 degrees! That must have been downright creepy. I'm getting used to having at least one rear tire up in the air for short periods of time, but the off-camber stuff still makes me tingle. Hows the rubbing situation? Mines not too bad after trimming some trim.

Yeah...30 degrees give or take a few. Its robably not the most precise gauge in the world, and I probably didn't get it mounted perfectly right, but its close enough
Those 30 degree moments were front to back, usually when dropping in from the top of a dune. I'd DEFINITELY be staining the seats if I hit 30 degrees side to side!
I did notice some rubbing this weekend when the tires would get way up in to the wheel wells, so I may need to trim some additional plastic.

were you the 2 guys in the pit as I was unloading my rig? I headed out after you when I ran into the club core and ended up helping a broken rig out of the creek crossing....

Yup!!! Jim and I saw your rig at the Fred Meyer before heading over to the pit. We were watching you trying to climb that wall before heading off, and were curious where you headed off to.

Yeah, I've only been out that way twice...and both times just on the Lake Isabel trail.
It'd be cool to have a "guided tour" of some other sections.
BTW, was it a broken-down Ford Ranger you helped out? We saw it on the way back and wondered what was up.
Then there was a van in that same area who needed a jump start. He had moved like 10 feet from where he was on our way in. Yet another mystery...

Ya, that white ranger lost front end engagement.
The kids in the van camped out the night before and there batt was dead, so I gave them a jump...

We jumped them as well, either their battery and/or alternator was shot, or they weren't letting the vehicle run for very long after the jump. Very strange....
