Obstacle Course Registation

Obstacle Course Registation
I have the basic info and registration page up for the Faithwheels 4x4 Obstacle course on July 4th.
This is free to all. The location will be on Cranberry Lake near Eatonville, WA. The site has several different courses and challenges. The big attraction will be a tuff truck course for the big rigs - 35" tires and larger. We'll be building a second course next month designed for smaller vehicles and SWB vehicles. We'll also have a cross country course suitable for stock rigs and a Trail 101 class. This class won't be as extensive as the one WOTTRA offers but will give beginners a chance to drive over different obstacles with experienced spotters. My wife's going on this one as she wants to learn how to drive.
Anyone want to teach her? That's like teaching your wife to golf, the fastest way to a divorce

There's no cost to attend as a participant or as a spectator, but we do ask participants to pre-register so that we can get a handle on the number of people. We are limiting this to 200 participants.
Everyone in the forum (with a 4wd) can participate. You DO NOT have to have a built rig to come out and play. If you do have a built rig, we'll test it out!!!
I am going out to run the tuff truck section of it tomorrow and will take some pics and vids. The other course we are building will have the same basic obstacles, but smaller...

I went out tonight to review the course and take some early video. I haven't had a chance to do the still pics yet and the only video I've got is full quality with sound. It is set up for streaming so I hope it works OK for everyone.
This is taken on the new Tough Truck section that we are building - comments/reviews are appreciated. We still have a full work day to do. The mud holes are in place, but we're not doing the add water and stir thing till the night before.
The first sharp left turn needs to have the bank built up but last time we worked on it the mud was too deep for the dozer. It should be better when we finish.
The telephone poles (logs) have a lot of dirt built up around them, which needs to go or be reduced.
The next sharp corner was completely removed by the Webfooters for their event. We'll dig this sharp deep bank back in and put that big boulder you see back on the inside tire track where it was.
The mogules and ditches need to be built up and dug out a little again.
The log bridge looks good.
The oustide camber corners needs to have the downside bank rebuilt to keep people trucks on the right line.
We might removed the dirt ramps to get on the rock piles, or leave them and allow the rock crawling rigs to enter and exit from the sides a little, if they choose. I also don't think that we've getting quite enough stretch from the rocks and we may need to take a couple out to make some holes, or drop a couple large ones on top. Again, comments welcome.
Here's the link.

BTW, this is the course that we are building for rigs with 33" and larger tires and tow hooks are REQUIRED. The couse we will build in a couple weeks will be for all 4wd vehicles with similar types of obstacles, but smaller of course.
The Trail 101 course looks great. It's about 1/2 mile long, has some short (50') ascents and descents, some mild sidehills, lots of little ruts (the course was run during the mud season and it's pretty much dried up now, but the ruts remain). We'll add a boulder - OK rock section, and a log cross.

It's come to my attention that some people think this event is being held at our church and is a "church" event. It is not. Our club is a Christian Off-Road club and our church is sponsoring the event, but it's a 4x4 event, not a church event.
You'll hear some contemporary Christian Music, and get a touch card, but mostly, you'll get some great family safe 4x4 fun. The is a 240 farm with directions on our website.
Join up and have some fun!

We got the courses finished up today, what a hoot they are. EVERYONE who ran them had a blast. The tuff truck course is TUFF. I had to be pulled out of the tank traps and an Fj40 with dual lockers and 35's didn't even try the trank traps or the rock pile!
On the mild to moderate course, everyone got through but the stock Ford Bronco had to bypass the mogules and the hill climb due to clearance concerns. EVERYONE, yes EVERYONE got slowed down at at least one section and had to choose different lines, a little more go pedal or something, at at least one spot! The hill climb here is going to be the crowd please. A steep decline right back up to a short but steep and slippery incline will challenge everyone, but it's very doable. SWB rigs definitely have an advantage but a stock Tacoma made it, after a few tries...
I continue to encourage pre-registration as we keep hearing more and more about people who want to come out. Don't be left watching when you want to be playing!
