newbie wanting to wheel in utah

I'm moving up to clearfield utah it the next few days and wanted to do some wheeling towards the end of January (I'm a newbie, just got my 4runner) and was wondering if any one in the area would want to come along and help a newbie out (mini-meet or something)??

What up!?

I'm in Davis County so I'd definetly be down to wheel. AF Canyon...good luck, I'm sure it's snowed in like a mother!

There are a few guys on here from the dissolved UT-TTORA.

Put up a signature of what you have and we'll have to get together.

I tried but I don't know if it worked. I just have a stock 96 4runner for the time being. I was a LDS missionary here in Utah and I was the Navajo Indian Rezervation for 11 month basically wheeling everyday trying to get to peoples homes in 2-wheel drive trucks. So I'm no stranger to wheeling. I just don't know where to go or who to go with since I really don't have any gear at this time except for a folding shovle. Which is why I want to see if anyone is up for some wheeling so I have some one to go with if the crap hits the fan if you know what I mean.

So ya, if you know of anyone that would want to go and help a semi-newbie that would be great.

The Bountiful B...visible from I-15 just North of the Bountiful Temple is a great spot to try out your Truck. Just leaving the parking lot is fun if all you want to do is mess around.

Hey, I live in Bountiful just a mile or so below the B. I've been up that Skyline Drive and it looks like there is some fun stuff up there. I was alone when I was up there so I didn't go too far on the trail I started (ended up backing out the whole way which was annoying). My 94 4runner is basically just stock, but I've taken it to Moab (Kane Creek) once which was fun and a little up Corner Canyon. Anyways, the engine is having a little hesitation issue right now (think its the EGR), but after I get that fixed I'd be down for getting together with some Utah guys to do some wheelin. I guess most everything is snowed in right now but keep me informed.

...GREAT ride on Saturday in hills west of Utah Lake/south of Pelican Bay. Mud, slick rock (sand), some moderate-to-nasty trails, and an awesome view at the top.

Let us know the date/time when you get more info.

I was hoping to get back to 5-mile today for some ATV riding...
