Moab

I'm starting to plan my (hopefully) annual pilgrimage out west, and it looks like I'll be getting together with some friends in Moab for the week of November 3rd. The other vehicles are close to stock 4x4's so nothing crazy, but I'd like to do Kane Creek Canyon and possibly Lockhart Basin if folks are up for a long, scenic day. Not sure for the other days so it'll be open for suggestions. We'll probably stay at a cheap motel in Moab for a couple days and camp for a couple days. If anyone is interested let me know, this won't be a structured gathering, just some folks getting together to beat up their vehicles for a few days. You are welcome to come for part or all of the week.

Sounds like fun but I'm doing my Navy Reserve duty that weekend.

If you could make it the week before or the week after, I may still be there. I'm taking about 2 months to wheel and don't have any solid plans outside this week in Moab. Let me know.

I'll be in southern Utah at least from Nov. 1 through the 10th, probably longer, so if people wanted to meet for a couple days around that time that would be great. I put out the dates for Moab so anyone having a long drive could plan ahead. We'll most likely stay at the Virginian when in Moab as the rates are cheap and they're 4x4 friendly. Free camping is also very abundant in the area, and it's easier to camp rather than drive from Moab if we do some of the more southern trails. I'm also planning on being in CO and AZ during the trip, and may try to wheel for a few days in each. I'll post a rough itinerary when I know more, it would be fun to hook up with as many YT members as possible.

Nobody up for some wheelin in Moab?? I even made sure it was after the Jeep gathering so it should be fairly quiet. Looks like the days we will be wheelin will be Nov. 3,4,5,6.

I might be out there - depends on the work situation. I'll definitely be staying away over halloween weekend (I made that mistake once - tripped out people were still wandering out of the rocks 3 days later!). If I go, I'll be bringing my mountain bike - anyone else ride?

I'm not sure if I'm bringing my bike. Lots of stuff that has to fit in or on a small truck, and a list of parts that need to be installed, with the bike rack at the bottom of the list. I'm pretty sure my buddy from Seattle is not bringing his bike, but my friends from Boulder might be. Probably do some hiking instead if not everyone has bikes.
