I live in chicago, and I wheel. the cliffs (marseilles, IL) which is a tight, muddy, day of carnage. The badlands (attica in) You would love it there.

As for up north, I think there is one in appleton

Anything in North of the Twin Cities would be cool. Got a few 4Runner friends in the area looking to get out of the city for a weekend or so this summer. Maybe combine the wheeling with some camping. Haven't heard of many places good for both, however.

I'f there's more that want to get together for a McCaslin trip I'm game. I had planned to go earlier this winter with a few IH8MUD guys but my slushbox gave out. If this winter doesn't work there's always spring and I'll be up there anyways for the CORR races.

I need to go to the Badlands. Some of my friends have gone on ATV trips there, but I wasn't able to go at the time.

Is this still in the works? I am in Green Bay and I am getting very close to ready for an outing. I am a true noob though, so I need to travel with those in the know.

down one post...

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f15/cliffs-marseilles-il-run-may-12-fj-cruiser-trail-team-scheduled-attend-113863/

This will be a great opportunity to hook up with some very experienced guys on some easy trails (which rarely happens, ususally if you want to wheel with the vets you have to wheel the tough trails) Plus it local to you (as local as it gets).
