Guys, I'm new to the forum but it sounds like you have agood group out here in the metro area. Do you all do these trips regularly throughout the summer? Sounds like this trip is going to be a fun one. I was just down in Gunnison & CB over Memorial Day and I know that Kebler Pass was still closed. Came back up 285 and it's 4 lanes from Conifer all the way down, so that'll make for some smooth driving on Friday. T-REX is another matter...
Hope this helps.

Not much to view down here though, John.
RW, yes, we do have a great group of guys here in the metro area and there should be a number of opportunities to join an outing if you'd like. Don't forget about the CO4RJ in mid August.
Thanks for the report on 285. That is what I thought I heard and it has been a long time coming. That road always used to be such a pain, and I even started driving west via CO Spgs to Hwy 50 last year because I hated it so much. I'm kind of anxious to see what it will be like tomorrow. Keep an eye on this trip planning page for upcoming trail runs.

I hope I can shake free on Saturday. I live in Salida and
it is Friday morning and the clouds are low. Supposed to be chilly and chance of rain in the afternoon and evening.
Hope you all have a good trip here and enjoy the trails.
Should be some mud somewhere.
There are no fire restrictions in the area so camp fires should be fine. (If you can find any dry wood.)
