I think that will be unlikely, unless they head in to PSR Saturday night for dinner. Based on their itinerary we'll be going in a giant loop many miles apart from each other.

For the guys who will be there Friday, are you planning to drive up Friday day / night so you won't be wheeling? Or will you drive upThursday night or dawn patrol Friday AM so you can wheel Pleasant Canyon/Park loop with us? Just so you know, if you leave LA by 5:00AM you could be at Ballarat by 9-10:00AM at the latest and could make the run with us. Also, cell service is nonexistant there unless you have Verizon, and then it is still pretty spotty at best.

I will agree that VERIZON is the only cell service out there. My SPRINT just didn't give me the connection to make my calls.... piece of crappers!

I'll be driving up friday afternoon/evening so expect my arrival around midnightish or later. I'm guessing Mark will follow suit so I'll see if he'll be interested in caravaning together. I'm guessing the closer we get to this trip date, we'll all start to figure out our options on caravans etc etc.

Would you be driving up Friday or Saturday? For those arriving early Saturday, we can plan on meeting at the Shell station at PSR on Saturday morning at 10:00AM. Darwin Falls is literally right behind PSR (at least it is on the map) so any late arrivals can meet up with us on the Darwin Falls road before we head off to the Racetrack Playa via Saline Valley Rd. and the Lipencott Grade.

Great pics!

latest news about campsites:

Hey Bob

I have 6 more spots in the regular camping area and lots of open spots in what we call our "over flow" area [smaller trees- farther from the restrooms- no picnic tables]. Also you can put two tents in some of the bigger sites as long as it isn't more than 8 people per site. Hopefully we can fit you all in

Lynda.

RESERVE YOUR SPOTS, GENTS!

I have a room for Friday night and a tent reservation for Saturday. I just found out I have to be in NY that week so I'm hoping to fly in Thursday night and then caravan w/ Bob on Friday afternoon. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

charles, if you decide to make it, you can tent camp on my spot. we can work out the money at DV. but you will have to park your ride in the guest lot (which is about 30 yards from the campsite iirc) as lance and i are sleeping in our trucks

lance: ok, sounds good.

Hi Guys,

Still room for another maybe? Trying to have some work done on my truck, not sure if it will be done, I'm still waiting on parts.

If I go it would be Friday AM to Sunday PM. Probably be bringing my 9 year old daughter, anyone else bringing kids of a similar age?

Rob
