That is, unless someone tells me that there's a mellower way to enjoy Holy Cross without the Ledge and the Chasm and the Lip and the French Creek and the French Chicks and all the other doom along the way...

Beer question: I know a lot of Midwestern folks covet West Coast microbrews, and I happen to be close with the folks from Port Brewing and the Bottle Shop. Any orders for special Left Coast beers to be brought up?

I wouldn't suggest Holy Cross in your rig. You might be able to get to French Creek but you'd bang the hell out of it just getting it that far.

Welp, I was chasing this deadline to get this done before I head to HI for 9 days, unfortunately, getting hung up on some fab from the front axle, and it won't go to exhaust before I leave. I believe I'm out, but may be able to chase a Sunday run or something, but looking like I'm going to miss this by a couple days

Count me in for next year for sure.

If anyone breaks and needs a haul home, let me know, I've got a tow pig and trailer.

Well, guys I should have a new rig there.

I fly in to Phoenix to pick this up on Saturday.

Specs: 2000 4runner Sport 4x4. A/T, 132K, 3" OME lift with the Heavies front and rear, 265s. Millennium Silver with gray interior. E-locker.

I am ordering some 285s on Monday and hope to get them mounted by the time I leave on Thursday afternoon. I should have some time to mount some sliders too. My plan is to run up to some lakes and take the boys fishing during the days if anyone is interested.

Don't know if Troy and I will be there now. His rig has a coolant issue which *could* be a HG, but either way we have already spent 20 hours trying to diagnose this problem! GRRRRR!

Nate,
It's not falling apart, it is just improving the probabilities, of us that are going, to win a new set of MTRs
After last years trip, this has become a yearly trip for me.
Aaron, thanks for helping to head up this get together.

Damn, I was hoping to see the beast on the trail. Have fun in HI and we'll meet up at Indy sometime later in the year!

I know! We are super dissapointed, and ready to light Troy's truck "Ron" on fire at this point. (Don't tell Ron, lest he smite us more!) I know we should just 3.4 it, but $$$ is just too darned tight!

On top of that, I SO wanted to meet lots of you! So to the wheeling gods that some-how we pull this together. (We are swamped right now with the WFTW - Wheelers For The Wounded charity run in BV, so wrenching/fixing time is slipping away!)

Ahoy dirty people.

I can get a batch of stickers - 4x3 vinyl, weatherproof - made to commemorate the 2009 CO4RJ. Nothing crazy, just a cool little logo and the location, something you can stack up for each year on your windshield or rollbar or toolbox. I need to get a few bucks to cover the cost (it's a friend's printing outfit, and he gives me el cheapo pricing). If I can get a few Amens, I'll get them going.

So do y'all think I can get 40 people to spend $5 to get four commemorative stickers? What'cha think? I'm not looking to profit, I just want to break even - I need to get about $200 to be clear.

I'd definitely take 1 for $2, but will take 4 for $5.

I know, I know.

The price is where it is so I can clear the cost. If there were going to be 100 trucks, I would gladly do $2 a pop, but we'll probably have half that. I don't want to eat 100 stickers and be out a bunch of bills.

This is why smaller events like the CO4RJ don't usually have stickers - not enough people to cover the cost. If we all pony up a little, this is the sort of spark that could bring more Toyota folks together next year.

Where is the meeting destination and time? We're driving from Oregon and would love to come along.

Does anyone live around the Denver area? Would it be alright for us to meet and leave our Mt Bikes at someones house? I'd rather not carry them on the trail.

Feel free to email: peter@agentpeter.com or drop me a call 503-888-6967

It depends what trails and what days you are going to come for, a lot of people are going to meet up Friday morning and run Holy Cross. Which direction are you coming from? I live about about half way between Denver and the Holy Cross trailhead (In Silverthorne) and I'll be leaving early Friday morning, your more than welcome to meet up and follow me to the trailhead. I don't really have a spot to store your Mt bikes, but I'm going to bring my camper trailer and your more than welcome to lock your bikes up to it at Holy Cross. At the camp site (in Buena Vista) there will be a bunch of trees, trailers and other stuff that you can lock them up to. I'm not sure if your real comfortable with that, but if you can't figure anything else out it's an option.

As of right now, I'm out

Ended up having the worst trip ever on Blanca this weekend
http://www.rockfrogs.org/phpBB3/view...hp?f=13&t=3220

My driver side knuckle has a broken ARP stud & a stripped hole. Only got 2 solid studs on that side. I need to find another driver side knuckle and tear apart the frontend. I doubt that will happen in 2 weeks.

Sorry, I know this has been in the works since last year's Jambo. I will get some raffle tickets made and get them to somebody that is going to be there. They can collect the $$$ and either get the money to Stay the trail or get it to me and I'll get it to them.

I was really looking forward to being a part of the largest Toyota wheeling event in the state. I was also looking forward to hanging out with everyone and meeting some of the new faces.

Have fun & take some good pics & video!

Ok, I'm not ok with this!! Hey Aaron- Just a thought, but I have a SFA on my 87 that's not being used right now- could you borrow the part off of it to make the run? I would need it replaced, of course, but if it would make it so you could run, I wouldn't mind.

Let me know.
