Aaron,
I'll be bringing a few pallets cut up into good length pieces.

Hey guys,
Sort of new here I guess, joined a long time ago, but haven't really been visiting the site until I heard that the 4runner jambo was coming up again.

I've met a few of you through other boards and stuff. But I should just be finishing up my new runner in time to make it out there this year! I've been wanting the go the last few years, but there has always been a scheduling conflict.

Anyways, it'll be a 4runner on one tons. I sure hope to have it going by then. Is there room for truck/trailer at the campsite?

Christian

I was going to PM you all the info on CO4x4 soon Get that 4Runner done and bring it out! Yeah, there's plenty of parking for truck/trailer. I trailered out last year and plan to again this year. A couple of other guys did the same and there was still room for more.

Christian,
There is tons of room, so you shouldn't have any problems finding parking spots

Here is where we are camping.(As long as it is the same from last year)

Volcom,
I got last years PM and couldn't make it. This time I'm going to try my hardest. Just have a bunch of small stuff. I think a deadline is what I need to get it done.

Hey CGuava,

Good to see you one here. Are you still running the 3.0L or did you decide to put something else in it? I'm excited to see your 4Runner in action. (If you don't remember me, I bought the seats from you off of co4x4).

Ardent,
Yeah man, I remember. I'm still sorry I was in such a rush that day. I actually ended up picking up another rear seat yesterday because I liked the ability to fold the seat down vs. an aftermarket bench seat back there.

I'm actually going to keep the 3.slow for now. Figure if something ever happens to it, then I'll go with something bigger/better.

Okay, how far is Holy Cross from the BV campsite. I will be towing my pop up down for thsi run. Just curious if I should camp up at French Creek for Holy Cross, or if I should just bring it all the way to BV on Thursday and wake up early and drive to Holy Cross.

The campground in BV to the road for Holy Cross is about 60 miles. My brother and Jeff left Denver early and just met us on the dirt road to Holy Cross. Several of us camped in BV Thursday night and just headed up to HC Fri. morning. You'll probably be better off just meeting us Friday morning. You'd save some miles but we've like to have you around camp to BS around the on Thursday.

Okeedoke, if Holy Cross is going to be the aggro Friday :AM run, what route will the bone-stock rodeo use? I don't know the Buena Vista trails as well as the junk around Alpine Loop. Can we get some suggestions?

STICKing to stuff that won't break my ship

Mount Princeton

Mount Antero

Tincup Pass

Hancock Pass

Pomeroy Lakes

There should be some others that will want to run one of these trails on Friday. Hopefully they will post up and you can get some trip plans set.

But I have a 4runner windshield washer reservoir under my hood. I also own a Tundra, but it doesn't seem to see much dirt action, other than the dirt that gets put in the bed.

I still plan on coming. It might take some smooth talking to the wifee, since I will be travel back up to our great northen state, Canada, on 8/4 thru 8/8.

Finally got some 31" BFG A/T KO's, so I'm ready to go! I'll need some help before hitting any trails to test my clearance though. I've got 8" wide wheels with a bit more offset and I'm hoping it won't be an issue on the back end with the saggy springs...

When I was a member of a motorcycle club, we had infrequent but useful tech sessions at rider's houses. Some of the more experienced wrenchers would run through some basic stuff on the bikes. The sessions covered everything from basic chassis tuning to more advanced stuff such as valve adjustments, and then would end in a group ride somewhere.

Would anyone be interested in hosting one or two tech sessions in the evenings during this adventure? My question is large self-serving :-) but may be useful to others as well!

I looked at the site and it's interesting. I was looking for a bit more hands on approach - nothing too hard, just some fun stuff that newbies like me could learn from. If anyone wants to, great. If not, great as well
