I'm posting for Anna - I'm on here much more than her. But She will post this weekend what everyone who has signed up should bring to the Saturday BBQ as far as a side dish/dessert or whatever to share.

I still have limited scenic leaders. Darcie volunteered for one day, but I am still looking for people who have done the stuff in the area and would feel comfortable leading.

My itinerary:
Get to camp after work Thursday. Get up and to the parking lot by 8 Friday. Make sure everyone is in the right group, one with Scott for Chinamen's one with me for Holy Cross and one for scenic trails. Run Holy Cross and eat supper in Leadville.

Be in the parking lot by 8 Saturday. Make sure everyone gets in the right group, one with Scott to Grizzly Lake, one with John for Wheeler, one with Jeff for Iron Chest race day and one scenic. Run Iron Chest fast, run Chinamen's faster and come back to camp to BBQ.

Sunday, get to the parking lot to make sure everyone gets in the right group. Schaefer is going to Wheeler, Jeff will lead an "other" trail of his descretion, thanks Jeff, and get a scenic group going.

Thanks to those who Pay Pal'd already, the rest please do soon. It will make my life easier.

Casey, I may need a seat in your rig.

Mike, glad to hear you are going to make it.

Adrian,

I've paypal'd my shirt & sticker. I'll be arriving on Friday night probably around 10pm. I'll be sleeping in my car, because I don't have all my camping gear here yet. All I need is a spot for my car, and I'll be good to go.

If anyone that's running the hardest trails on Saturday and Sunday, I'd really like to ride along. I've just relocated from TN, and I haven't flown back to get my 4runner yet. Anyone have an extra front seat? I'll be more than happy to take lots of pictures or video and help spot. Anyone?

Chris

No problem, it's wide open.

I was planning on sleeping in my truck for the trip. So where exactly are we parking in regards to the campsite? I just hate setting up a tent and would be much more comfortable in my truck.

Still need to know a firm head count in the group site. Joan called today and it needs to be resolved plus or minus a couple by tomorrow night.

Any more scenic people? There has not been too much interest that way, but there is some and I need a few more leaders/trails.

Don't feel alone because I'll be doing the same thing. Me, a fart sack and a Goretex bivie bag in either a rental or my wife's Tacoma.

Basically it's a big grass field with parking spaces right along it. There are spots for campers, etc. in other area of the campground, but we'll be in the group site which is basically a grass field.

Just a couple random thoughts/reminders for everyone...

Remember to bring towels and quarters for showers. Plan on $0.75-$1.00 per shower. They do have a change machine which typically works, so it shouldn't be a problem if you don't bring quarters with you.

When I was there a couple weeks ago I saw that the campground now has WiFi internet connectivity for sale, but it's dang expensive at about $7 per day. I didn't try it.

Remember to fill up with gas at the end of each day. The nearest gas station is several miles to the north so there usually isn't time to mess with it in the morning.

Last year there were problems with a couple people from our group parking in front of sites that weren't ours. If there isn't enough parking, either temporarily block someone in at our site, or park in the upper parking lot by the office where the trailers are parked. Just be very careful to not park in front of someone else's camp site.

I look forward to seeing everyone again!

FYI - I'm having the stickers printed on Monday - so anybody else wants one let me know by Sunday evening.
