Was fun. Good folks, good food, good natured harassing of a Jeep guy. I think Rob took a couple of the obligatory parking lot pics, so maybe he'll post those when he gets a break from the kiddo. Thanks to those of you that showed up, it's always fun to do a little BSing and get away from reality without sitting in front of the TV.

BTW, I forgot to bring your jack stands along so I guess I'll be forced to drive up there and deliver them, with maybe a quick trail run thrown in.

Yeah, it was a good time, though I was beat towards the end, and made a hasty retreat to Seattle to go night-night...

Good natured? ;-)

I'll be out for the Oct 2nd cleanup run. It'll be nice to wheel again.

Sounds like my little Jeep has to make up for the last guy who took a KJ out with you guys.

Of course it was "good natured". Nobody set the Heep on fire or rolled it out into traffic... therefore, it was good natured

The last Liberty definately had some problems. I will see if I can find a photo of it high centered on a postage stamp of snow.

There's a thread here:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/minnesota-trooper-writes-ticket-205-miles-per-hour-41399/

Now, since that story popped up, a number of motocycle geeks have said that it's simply not possible on the bike he was riding. Also, doing the math will show that a tropper with an itchy stopwatch finger will produce a reading that can easily be 20mph off. Timing someone in the 1/4 mile in the general neighborhood of 200mph by sight isn't real accurate:

4.39 secs = 205 mph
4.50 secs = 200 mph
4.60 secs = 195 mph

Remember that with the stopwatch method, there's the potential for error on _both_ ends of the timed zone.

Anyway... yeah, the guy was goin' real fast, but I dunno that he broke 200mph.

That's what you get for not coming to the events. It was an inside joke for the people that were there.

And yes an RC-51 with a slip on isn't going to come anywhere near 200 mph. The cops are sticking to their guns on the ticket because they don't want any doubt thrown into their method.

I wonder if it involved a JATO unit. Folks, I believe we're witnessing the birth of an urban legend...
