No thanks! I appreciate that my wheeling is become less and less "competitive" as time goes on. I have done the competition thing and I find that I prefer to wheel for the sake of wheeling. If there is a trophy being handed out, odds are good, with very few exceptions, you won't find me there...

I see the role that contests play in our sport and am glad that folks organize them for those who want to enter them, but I am much happier wandering some forgotten trail than I am trying to beat someones time through a rock pile or mud bog.

I dont think I'll ever be in a competition, nor have a rig that would do well in one, I just enjoy watching...

There was a cool show talking about 4x4er's on Speed, well it was all cool till someones hand got mangled while pulling out a winch cable a bit too close to the fairleads... ick. Man my wife was "you got one of those on your truck dont you?" lol... I said yep.. (BTW rob, when you going to teach me some safe winching? lol the next 101?

I do prefer exploring, just dont get a chance to do it as much as I did.

I have been thinking that we needed to have a "Winching 101" this year since so many folks have installed those deadly contraptions over the past year... Perhaps I will do an extended "Trail 101" for WATTORA this year and throw in a more advanced winching section...

We'll see... I am rapidly filling up the summer for classes already. It must be a good sign when I am approaching sold out in March

well i dont care about the competing part of it, im just going there to watch, and get a chance to look at all the cool trucks.

Although it is tempting to join WATTORA that day to go wheeling...just too many choices.

No, I mean for dates. The WATTORA class will always be free, as long as I am holding it. But I do the classes for other clubs and organizations each summer and the dates I have available are getting filled up in record time this year. For those ones, I charge

WATTORA Trail 101 will likely be in May, but I am waffling between two dates.
