Any AZ guys free on Monday?

Just got the alignment after my front end upgrade today. BJ spacers, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, idler arm rebuild, and new shocks up front. I'm itching to get it out there and check it out but probably can't until Monday. Anybody else with the odd weekday off that wants to come along? Since it's a shakedown cruise for the new work and I expect to be alone, I'm not planning on getting too remote or crazy. Currently thinking about something out in the 4 Peaks wilderness area, but am open to suggestion. Anyone?

Mike

It's just outside Phoenix about 10 miles or so to the NE up Hwy 87. If you have a decent map like DeLorme Gazetteer, you can see FR 143 which accesses the 2 areas I've got in mind.

You wont even need 4WD. When I got to the top last time, a station wagon was there. IMO it is a long and monotonous trail with great views and some good hikes at the top.

You guys should go mess around at Butcher Jones, which is up 87 also.

Yeah 143 isn't actually my plan ( I've been up that in a VW Rabbit) I figure to either go to FR 401 which gets reasonably rough after Cottonwood Camp or up FR 422 to Edwards Park. FR 143 is just the starting point.

Sorry about this but I've had a family situation come up and I won't be going out after all. Hopefully soon though.
