Jon,
I'll call you when we are getting close to asheville. We should be leaving about 9. That puts us at asheville around 1. We could drive together after that. If not, just got to mapquest and search for murphy nc then get the map off crawford's website.

I got back Sunday morning at 3:15am so I could spend a full day with my wife after not seeing her much last week, because of all the mods I was working on. I had the best time of my life up there, this weekend. Whoever starts the pictures thread, please post the link on here so that we're all notified of the new thread. Hope everyone has a safe trip home. I enjoyed it!

Chris

I ran the bypasses on gaurdrail and helicopter pad by myself, because I broke my upper suspension link and had to go back to camp, weld it and then I had planned to meet everyone the opposite direction. But, I ended up running everything opposite of what they did and met them at the very top of schoolbus. They had just turned all the rigs around and were about to head down the mountain when I walked down. They were shocked to see me, as was I. I was more relieved than anything, because the guardrail bypass was one of the hardest things I've had the 4runner on. And the crappy part was that I was by myself, no spotter, and no winch. It was either make it up or be there all night.

The group as a whole had a lot of good body damage, broken window, slight rollover, and a lot of hurt pride, but I have to say that they made it up a tremendous amount of schoolbus, and if it had stayed dry I would have met them on the top. But, the rain hit, and it was slick as snot after that, making it impossible to make the rest of the way up schoolbus. For me, gaurdrail was extremely tippy and nerve racking, and the bypass around helicopter pad was a cake walk, luckily. After that, there was a ton of fun stuff in between heli pad and the top of schoolbus.

All in all, those were the two best days of wheeling and hanging out that I've ever had. We all came out with some damage, but the memories were priceless. I can't wait to tackle them again!

No carnage holding me up. I got back to camp after talking to my wife, and I wanted to head home that night so I could have all day with her today. I hung out till almost everyone was asleep, then packed up and headed home. I didn't see her at all last week, because of all the mod work I was doing last minute.

I have to say thanks to everyone for being supportive on the trails in every way imaginable. I had the best time of my life!

I'm still not home guys. We decided to stay with Mike and his wife tonight and start tomorrow morning after the 4 wheel alignment. It seems slickrock made my rig a little pigeon toed! I'll post up some pics when I get home.

Thanks to all the people that came out on this trip. It was the best wheeling trip I have ever been on. I'd also like to thank everyone that jumped in to lend a hand on slickrock. I would have never made it up without youre help

82 TREKKER: Jutty, you were missed at this event, but I can say that youre tires made it up slickrock !!!!! thanks again. Hope to see you om the next ride

I got home around 3. I haven't cleaned the truck but I did get some of the mud off the front driver fender and I think I'm going to have a nice large dent/scratch. I'll take pictures tomorrow.

dragr1, didn’t you mention maybe coming next weekend for the Land Cruiser event. If you want to go I’m up for it.

JeepGuyXJ did you get any pictures of me in the #8 mud pit.

I sure would love to, but in reality, it would be extremely doubtful. I think we're gonna do another big event in September, maybe we could fill the gap with a smaller event in between.

A small in between trip would be great. Maybe at that trail in TN. The name slips my mind.
