Yeah that was one hell of a rock, after Austin got over it it slipped further towards the tree. Brady is that where you almost tore your fender off, or was that back towards Fain's Ford? I just remember booking it home and trying to get as much sleep as possible. I was almost for sure you were going to have to winch Justin and I over that thing, he was just tired and didn't care at that point, and found a clean line.
I can't wait to see the video, especially the first night getting to the cabin and our first and only extraction for the whole trip.

Ok, sorry I didn't get it up last night... (I HATE it when that happens...
)
Ive been messing with codecs because the smallest Ive gotten it so far is 278.9mb haha... I'm waiting for my buddy to get back from Jacksonville with his car so we can do it in divix, so hopefully that will bring it down significantly... its like 9min long.

nope... final cut pro has all the sound editing tools I need... see, unlike avid which needs a whole other $500 piece of software... FinalCut actually has more than one function!
Also, the vid is coming... I was out of town til 3min ago so I haven't been able to put it on my buddies computer to encode...

Got gas today in the Suburban 4x4 (tow rig) and it cost damn near 100 bucks to fill it up!!! 40 gallon tank with the 5.7 litre with tow package and all that.
My estimated fuel bill for Tellico down and back towing will be around 300 bucks (estimate for lower MPG with trailer and rig)
At this point, I'm driving the Trekker down and back and just going to take longer to do it. Part of me says do it for principle. Part of me says bite the bullet and tow.
Either way, I don't care if I have to ride down on the back of a chicken truck. I'll be there.
Just thought I'd share the shock

Vince and I will roll in Thursday afternoon. He's not going to tow either since we both would rather spend the coin on the trip and mods
We are checking out of Tellico Cabins on Monday and spending the night somewhere on the way home.
Oh, do or die...do or die. We will be there. Crawler box install is happening next week

Hey, like we said before, this will be a good chance to do some "swapping". I'll be arriving sometime Thursday evening and staying thru Sunday morning.
I'll have 4 285/75-16 Goodyear MT/R's w/ half tread for $300, but there's two people in line for them currently.
I'll also have my TRD SC (2nd Gen w/ ~15k miles) available then (stock pulley). I can install one in about 2 to 2.5 hours w/ no fuel mods. I would INSTALL it on your third gen 4runner or fourth gen Taco for $1500. It will come with the box, belt, tensioner, instructions, etc - everything needed for the install plus some. If you don't want it installed, then it would be $1400...
2.2" pulley for the TRD SC = $50 (can be run ONLY w/ proper fuel/ECU mods)
2.0" pulley for the TRD SC = $50 (can be run ONLY w/ proper fuel/ECU mods)
I'll also have an open front ADD diff w/ 130k miles on it w/ the original 4.10 gears and bearings - minus only the ADD actuator. Great core for someone who's going to regear. It's had Royal Purple 75W90 in it since about 90k miles. $100 gets it.
I'll also have an open rear third w/ ~15k miles on it w/ the original 4.10 gears and bearings. This is another great core for a "bench" locker install or a replacement for a high mileage one that's on your rig. $300 gets it.
I'll also have my "bent" sahara bar. The brackets are ever so slightly tweaked along w/ the bumper as shown in the PICS in this thread. It will NOT include the IPF 900 driving lights, IPF 924 fog lights, or the M8000 winch w/ fairlead. It WILL have the light inserts w/ blinkers, all the rubber/black trim (not all shown in the pics) and the chrome hoop. With a little work, it could be fixed and you'd have a sahara bar for CHEAP. Retail on this is ~$1400 and internet pricing is ~$1100 for a new one shipped. $200 gets it delivered to tellico.
If you want any of these things, you'll have to tell me ahead of time (PM or eMail) so that I can bring them with me. No interest = no parts coming with me.

How much boost does the 2" give you? I have a 9psi pulley waiting but if that one is more then...
I went home this weekend and I had my first road trip with the S/C and all I can say is WOW... Not only did I get almost 19mpg (up from 16), but I actually had torque! It only downshifted a couple times, I couldn't believe it! The boost gauge really helped the mpg b/c I would just never let it go into boost...

Hey guys,
Word is getting around in my circles about your run and wanted to know if 2 other stragglers is cool (runners) to attend? I can sleep 6 at my cabin and have the room so they wouldn't be a bother. GSMTR is kinda wearin' on them I think and this run is gonna be a hit.
Just thought I'd ask before I say any more to them.

looking a little better for my attendance (truck update) , is anyone by chance heading up mid-day saturday that i could meet up with? I would feel alot better caravaning with a truck that is KNOWN to be reliable.

Hardcore like lower 2 and all that. Yeah, GSMTR is the next weekend. The guy going is a cruza head and now a runner fan since he expanded his family. Been running for years in a cruza and this year will be a runner. He has a buddy doing the same. We are neighbors.
Here's a line up of 3 of us
Minus Vince's DD at the end

This run just keeps getting better and better. Sign me up as another video man. We're going to have to organize this run really well so we can all try and watch everyone on the tougher trails, Chris going up Slickrock and now these guys wanting to hit Lower 2.
