Should this truck be bought?

Should this truck be bought?
I'm contemplating buying a '91 toyota 4x4 5spd, 4 cyl truck. The thing drives fine, has new brakes. My only concern is that the guy said it burns a little oil even though the head gasket has been replaced and that the O2 sensor will need to be replaced eventually. Should I buy it or not? Or does this mean the rings in the pistons are fried and the engine will just take a dump eventually? He wants 3200 which I think is kind of high but...
Here's the link to it.

Are you buying it for the engine or the rest of the truck. Rebuilding engines is just part of maintaining an old truck and you only have four cylinders to maintain.
How much does it burn, all engines "burn" oil, that's how they work, if it's burning so much it won't pass an emissions test, I would not pay that much for it.

He said it just burns a little. It's 20 years old so I wouldn't have to smog it in Oregon. I'm buying it for the whole truck, I'd like to drive it without rebuilding the engine immediately.

My truck burns a little oil too, but it isn't a big deal. I top it off every couple of tanks, and it still runs like a champ. I would find out just how much oil the motor is burning, because those trucks are getting harder to come by and more desireable. I would dig having a third gen. extracab with a 22re.

edit: as far as buying that truck, for the PNW that price is pretty fair for what I have been seeing for asking prices

Want my advice? Don't buy a 20y.o vehicle that uses oil, if you're afraid of learning how to check the oil.
