What up everyone,

My name is bryan and i am from San Bernardino. Im a middle school teacher and recently got my 1st toy. I have wanted a toyota 4x4 since i was younger, but never had the funds. My DD is a honda fit and i found a 1991 toyota pickup 4x4 a few weeks for 1500. Runs and drives ok, but am in the process of swapping the 3.0 for 3.4 and then work on it some more. I have no mechanical experience, i figured this truck would be perfect. In fact, i like driving it more than my honda!

I have never been off-roading and look forward to meeting some folks that can show me the ropes.

Im in the beginning stages, still waiting for some parts from ORS. Im down for a meetup (hangar 24 Redlands?) and cannot wait to go wheeling. Im gunna have wait to hit up some trails however until my yota is in working order...besides the swap i need to do some suspension work.

Lets keep this conversation going, this socal forum has been dead too long!

J&H, that SAS is going to awesome. Are you doing the work yourself? sounds like you have a sweet rig. Would love to get a Aussie locker set up on my truck, i just need to get it to run reliably first

I have only been on one Wheeling trip since i SAS'd, lifted, dual locked and geared my truck. And i finally finished building my heavy duty plate bumper/tire carrier yesterday. Just needs to be mounted.

Mark(Chefyota4x4) just got his SASd rig back this weekend. Just waiting on him to break in his gears. I'm sure we'd be up for going out there with you guys. Just set a date and i'll try to make it work out. Saturday's would be ideal for us.

Is there an entrance fee for that trail? And how hard is the trail for somebody who isnt running lockers? I'd like to take one of my best friends who just bought an 86 22-R stock toyota pickup last night.

well hanger is actually a local brewery here in redlands which we were gonna meet up at but i think it would be cool to go out and hit some trails and maybe end up there for a nice cold beer afterwards we theres some trails that arent very far away from there

How difficult are the trails though? I mean Mark(Chef) and I won't have any problem getting up stuff. But i ask mainly for my friend who would be going in his stock 86 pickup.

Ohhhhhh myyyyyyy! Lol. ... I'm gonna try to spread the word as I'm able.... Not shared this yet, but I'm just in the beginning stages of and fighting a nasty ear infection! :-( .... however, .....I willllll try my best to complete the break in of the gears and 23 splined 4.7's of the second tcase.... Maybe a teeeeeny bit of break in on the dirty thirties and 10" splined Matsuba dshaft.....etc... just an "on stands" deal will work for some of it! Possibly a "freewheel hubs locked and not locked in 4High for 20 min or so locally for the front diff and new chromoly man. hub gears/dirty 30 union"-style delio for the rest! Haha. .......

I WANNA JOIN YA! Lol. ...

I soooo know it! Lol. I'm down, just have to get a DATE! When exactly? This coming weekend? Or the following? If this, I probably would be stupid to go before I'm even done with the Cipro...
